    Weezer!

    I love this band...

They have really good music, it's lyrics based, but it doesn't stop the actual music from being awesome.

The other day I DLed The Good Life, and I swear I listened too it for 4 hours straight.

    Anyways, /thread.

I like a small handful of their songs. I always wanted to buy their albums but luckily Itunes came out before I did so I ended up just picking what I liked and left the rest.

Yeah, I love this band! I have their Pinkerton album, and the Green Album. I like their Dope Nose single and Island in the Sun. One of the best bands out there.

Weezer is my all-time favourite band. Their music is catchy and I love how Rivers Cuomo gets drunk, and then writes some of his songs (Hash Pipe, Dope Nose..). Their Red Album is the best I've heard so far, I've got that, Maldroit & The Green Album. And I'm looking at getting The Blue Album next considering it's their Debut album. And the version i'm getting has the 'Dusty Gems & Raw Nuggets' bonus CD, so i'm really excited. Plus their Music Videos are the best any band has ever done. I love Perfect Situation, Hash Pipe, Buddy Holly, Troublemaker. But their best Vid is Pork & Beans!!

Oh, yeah. I love this band
They're pretty unique, both in style and in music. And their music makes me feel good and relaxed. Our band would always play their songs during contests, or simply when we're just hanging out. Crazy lyrics, catchy beats and melodies... they're an awesome band!

When are they going to mature as musicians?

Cuomo likes to act like he is still a young man, writing the same songs he did fifteen years ago. It is boring at this point.

Pinkerton is a decent album, but their lack of maturity can be irritating.

I've been listening to them some more again lately. For me, their first album is probably the best. Probably Pinkerton after that, though I never bought it (I should've.) Between the Green Album and Malidroit, I started to notice that their songs sound the same, and a lot of the lyrics don't make sense to me. And I wasn't impressed by the Beverly Hills single, so I didn't get that album. My brother got their newest album and played some of it for me, and it sounded okay, but ultimately not worth buying.

In short, their old albums are where it's at (The Sweater Song, Buddy Holly, El Scorcho, etc.) and some of their later stuff has it's moments (Hash Pipe... I want to say more, but none come to mind) but that's about it. I love old Weezer, and the Rentals are fun too. Anyhoo...

    This made me laugh.

I like a few Weezer songs. It's a pity they're interspersed with crap. I like that 'the world has turned, and left me here' song, and Island In the Sun. Hash Pipe, Buddy Holly and Keep Fishin' were played to death five years ago and send me into PTS spasms.

Also, never trust a man who orders internet brides.

I also like how nobody can spell Maladroit. It should be spread. One of my Top Ten French words, and nigh on impossible to pronounce properly.

Buddy Holly was played to death five years ago? It came out over ten years ago... Your radio stations must be a bit behind the times over there (just kidding.) Although I suppose they might play it a lot in conjunction with hash pipe and keep fishing as they came out in their respective years.

PS: Sorry I don't know how to spell Maladroit. I did not have the album in front of me when I was posting that message, and it does not see heavy usage in my daily vocabulary. Being as it is a french word. Anyhoo...

I don't know if it was the radio, haha...but it was certainly 5 years ago, because we were all 14, and those were the songs we chose to wreck for ourselves in the future.

Spell how you wish, my dear. I was just being a smug learning-French type smug person.

Nah, never really liked them. Maybe a song or two, but I doubt anything more would interest me about them. I dislike how all the songs they release sound pretty much the same. I feel the same way about Reel Big Fish, but that's a completely different conversation.
