So I have recently rediscovered how much I like this “band”. Given it is a fictitious band derived from the head of Stephen Herek. But the classic feel to the band and the guitar solos make me wonder what has happened to music these days.

I was watching this movie (Rockstar) today, looking at the elaborate sets they used in the movie and was kind of baffled. Groupies adore these guys. And apparently “tribute bands” are a suitible alternant to the original.

I lived through this era of time that this film was set upon, and it seems that some of the new age rock lacks what came from the eras before hand.

So my question is; do you think the era of good performances has given way to a one hit wonder escapade?

Sure there are bands that stick out among the crowd these days but nothing that is long lasting and you get the chance of a few good songs out of what ever number of tracks a CD comes in today.
