    Spill Canvas

I am not sure how many people have heard of this band. I personally really enjoy their music, even if it is the most emo and depressing thing I have ever heard. Sometimes I am jsut in the mood for that stuff. As individual musicians they really dont stand out but it is just the music itself that gets to me.

If you have heard their music then tell me what you think. If not then look them up, listen, then tell me what you think.

Despite me not liking emo, screamo..ect
I will give them a chance.
As for depressing stuff, if you really want to get that "engrave in your arm" feeling, I recommend: Katatonia, Agalloch & A Shape Of Despair..trust me, these bands are great at what they do, especially A Shape Of Despair.

Haha. SourBreak, those bands and The Spill Canvas? Two completely defiferent sounds, dude. Um, TSP is cool. 'Sunsets & Car Crashes' was probably what got me into them, I guess. I'm not that big a fan, but they're okay.

This is quite the old forum but I figured I'd try to revitualize it, though it may not get many posts or responses after me. As I type this, The Spill Canvas is actually what I'm listening to.
I guess I just had a messed up week. Actually month really, too much stuff has been going down, and I know some people understand. It's not like when you just have a bad day, it's like your driven to the edge and stepped on everyday. Usually I'm the quiet type about this cause I don't care too much, life carries on. But somedays it just builds up more and more.
To the thread, The Spill Canvas. I didn't hear of this band till an old friend told me to try them out. She had their C.D. and put it in my car and we drived through the mountain tops. She told me of the wrecked family she was from, and it was like the music was a part of it. Some bands do that...I guess this one does it for me right now.
Usually it's bands like Evanescence, Disturbed, Avenged Sevenfold, or something on those lines that calms me. It's just one of those times...
This is not too bad of a band, but you have to be in the set mood for it.
You never know till you try either...
So now you’re suffering the fallacy of what you said
When you uncover the depression from where you’ve tread
Breathe over the glass you wrote on
Swallow all that you waste your throat on
You wear the mark and wave the banner they made with sin
Revealing every single lie that you’ve been breeding within
Wash over the skin you’ve broken
Think over the tone you spoke in
