California Girls I ****ing love that song.
Well, most of you won't need reminding, as you're in it. But spare a thought for us Southern Hemispher-ians.
Post a song/s that remind/s you of summer, or encapsulates it succinctly and musically.
This song is perfect for me. Summer on the beach, taking a road trip with good friends and good music. Doesn't get any more summer than that.
California Girls I ****ing love that song.

Crush by Pendulum is my 2010 summer anthem. Makes me feel like grilling outdoors, doing slip and slides, and going to the pool.
I also always think of summer when I hear The White Stripes - Seven Nation Army come on, because when I used to cut grass at a summer job they'd always play it.
There are obviously others but these are two that come to mind.
pretty much anything by 311; especially this song -

Sheryl Crow's Soak Up the Sun. It's so freaking catchy! I like it. I think it's the perfect song for capturing that summertime spirit.

This (WATCH YOU FING EARS!!!) YouTube - Justin Bieber - Baby ft. Ludacris
Because my summer is sucking, and Justin beiber sucks. Make any sense?
"We Are Never Getting Back Together. Like... Ever."
My Signature looked a lot prettier in photoshop... :/

Idk why, but it's a great song and yellowcard in general feels like a very summery band.

hahas, updated July 28th (oldie but goodie!):
These two songs always remind me of summer; the Summer of Ska. (Actually, that was supposedly like '98. I saw these in the Summers of '97 and '96, respectively. Good times.) Anyhoo...
Wuv, Yer Mom
I asked my girlfriend what she would choose, and she responded with:
Oh, how I love her so.
She said that it's the kind of song that you speak, not sing, as it plays on the radio, and you're sticking your hand out the window of a car, tilting it up and down and letting the air move it around.
Man I want summer already.
Six more weeks of winter.
For Our Lord Sheogorath, without Whom all Thought would be linear and all Feeling would be fleeting. Blessed are the Madmen, for they hold the keys to secret knowledge. Blessed are the Phobic, always wary of that which would do them harm. Blessed are the Obsessed, for their courses are clear. Blessed are the Addicts, may they quench the thirst that never ebbs. Blessed are the Murderous, for they have found beauty in the grotesque. Blessed are the Firelovers, for their hearts are always warm. Blessed are the Artists, for in their hands the impossible is made real. Blessed are the Musicians, for in their ears they hear the music of the soul. Blessed are the Sleepless, as they bask in wakeful dreaming. Blessed are the Paranoid, ever-watchful for our enemies. Blessed are the Visionaries, for their eyes see what might be. Blessed are the Painlovers, for in their suffering, we grow stronger. Blessed is the Madgod, who tricks us when we are foolish, punishes us when we are wrong, tortures us when we are unmindful, and loves us in our imperfection.
When I think summer, I usually think these songs:
1) Sublime - What Happened
2) Deftones - My Own Summer (Shove It)
3) Weezer - El Scorcho
4) Dirty Heads - Lay Me Down
5) Kottonmouth Kings - Positive Vibes
6) Rob Zombie - Sick Bubblegum
