Rap, Rock, New Age

I really want to know what kind of music people like in here. Is it rare to like rap, and Final Fantasy?

I dont think it is rare to like Rap and FF but so far I have found mostly rockers and suck on here. Good guitar and drums is just better suited for ahrdcore gaming than rap is.

Rap is not often associated with Final Fantasy fans because it is Final Fantasy not Grand Theft Auto. I mean I don't care if you are into both, but the world of FF and the Rap world are completely different so I am sure a lot people here would strive towards Rock. One thing that kind of surprises me is there isn't much Classical or Folk music fans as they have the most in common with the FF series. Actually Power Metal fits into place with this forum quite nicely and I know a few people here like it, I kind of do myself too but not hard out.

I don't think that it is rare to have people like both rap and Final Fantasy. You see I've only played a little bit of FF 7 & 8 and I still like rap and the FF music.

I'm a fan of rap; I really like Eminem and Kanye West in particular. I like the fact that they try, to a certain extent, to involve politics and modern morals in their lyrics.

Chose rock though. I don't think it's odd, unusual or impossible to like both rap and Final Fantasy; both are gaining speed and becoming more mainstream, so both are likely to begin to attract more fans. Sort of. Dunno. My friend's watching me write this and it's making me feel weird.

I don't think its odd, as tastes differ in many varieties. Its as odd to like rap and final fantasy as much as its odd to like rock and reading... meaning its not unusual at all. A lot of people on this forum like various genres of metal, and theres a lot of rockers. I'm into alternative rock, as well as the odd bit of classic rock and metal, and some obscurre stuff too.

Final Fantasy is a popular videogame series, so there is a lot of individuals who play it and admire it for various reasons. Everybody is an individual, so they can't possibly all like the same music or share the same hobbies.

i choose rock since that is mostly what i here and it gets me in the mood to do anything.

i just like a little rap mostly old school becaus ei think it is better. i just like 50 cent's get rich or die trying, all the eminem songs and a few of kanye west and black rob's "by a stranger"

for me it does not really matter what kind of music that others like since that kind of music calls out them and they just feel it throughout their body.

I, being a harcore rocker, and once a listener of rap, I kinda get nostalgic with some of the older stuff, but when I hit like 13 or 14, rap hasn't interested me, so, Rock FTW, and I'll pretty much listen to any kinda rock there is, hardcore, but there is a limit to how soft rock can be before it is pop and some people just don't get that -_- *went off topic* anywayssss, I would much rather listen to Rock over Rap or New Age any day

I guess I'm weird cuz I like rap too and I'm an FF fan. Don't me wrong, I like rock, but I'd prefer rap. E-40, Kanye West, Chamillionaire, Eminem, Diddy, Yung Joc, Ying Yang Twins, Jay-Z, Danity Kane, Kelis, Lil Wayne and so on. I can go on and on about rap, but it seems like the majority of people on here like rock more other than rap though.

Well, since I'm an eclectic, I like both rock and rap. I sometimes listen to rap while playing Final Fantasy, but it's not really that awkward for me. It's really more or less for ambience.

Here's a kicker: I started out loving rap. When I was living in Virginia all I used to listen to was rap, but now, I listen to everything, especially technical death metal .

i picked rock, old rock is the best tho like bonjovi, guns and roses, meatloaf and whitesnake, u get the idea. i love singing along to some bonjovi whilst doin the house work, gets done quicker lol

Ya see, I'm all about Rap. Even tho I don't like the mainstream of it, that is what I thrive against.

Yeah, rap doesn't fall under Final Fantasy cause it's not prefered for the majority of it's gamers. Actually, I also prefer it not to. Square Enix (man I miss Square Soft) has done a spectacular job managing the music and I DEFINITELY would not want it to change.

But as for music in my terms, Rap till the grave.

Sorry nick but he has a really good point. Aside from myself and you i really dont know many ppl who are FF gamers and ppl who listen to rap. I like rap but my ture favorites are New Age and Techno.

I listen to pretty much everything, and I love all kinds of music. I tend to stick around more rock as is. It speaks to me a little better. Soft rock soothes me, Hard Rock gives me an edge, and Alternative rock makes me hyper. It is a lot more versatile, like me, so rock has to be my favorite out of the three. That, and I can only stand so much rap music withou feeling awkward.

I also like to listen to many different types of music, but I have always been partial to hip-hop and rap the most. I just love how some of the artists have a way with rhyming their words, and then they put all of that and integrate it with a rhythm and flow, add music, and they have something that has to potential to be off the hook! Some of my favorite rappers are Kanye West and Young Jeezy, due to their abilities to not only be very creative and catchy with their lyrics, but also to have some sick and innovative beats on top of it.

Mostly grunge/experimental/punk for me.
But I've never really been too big on the other alternatives listed above.
I find some psychedelic rock is nice at times too.

Personally I prefere ranges of rock and Drum n bass but I quite like some songs that would be classed under different genres aswell like punk, indie etc. I don't stick to just one. I think it's probably a bit rare to find people who like rap and FF but there are obviously some who do and I don't think it's a bad thing, everyone likes different things right?
