I listened to them till I began High School then I got into more heavier music.
Meh, I don't care much for them. I don't think there's ever been a modern rock band that I've had much interest in. The only song I've heard by them that I liked is "Bleed It Out". And even that song gets boring after a few listens.

Linkin Park was my all time favorite band in the 6th grade. Then later they came out with the newer stuff like the Meteora album and others, I liked those. After the newer, newer stuff I kind of drifted from it, but I was a hardcore fan back in the day.
My favorite part of this thread was when the OP referred to Linkin Park as "him." Suggesting that Linkin Park was in fact a solo project.
I was never the biggest fan; they aren't my style, really. My friends listened to them a lot, so that was how I started to kind of have an interest. I bought the album Meteora for the really fast song that was their radio single (I don't remember what the name of it was, however.) That's the only album of theirs I own. I thought the newest album was a slight improvement over their older stuff (as I don't like Nu-Metal much at all.)
I remember back in the day, making fun of the line, "SHUT UP WHEN I'M TALKING TO YOU!" Setting it to the chorus of the song: "Shut when I talk to you/'CUZ IF YOU DON'T SHUT UP, YOU WON'T HEAR/WHAT I'M ABOUT TO SAY!!" Anyhoo...
Wuv, Yer Mom
They sold out with their new crap that diverge from the source material. That's what happens when you make a shitty concept album.
Since when have Linkin Park been making concept albums?
Hybrid Theory was the first album I ever bought. I still love it to this day. However, Reanimation is my favourite. Not often does a remix album surpass the original. My December is probably my favourite song they have ever done.
hehe
Well i think you all missed one big fact that makes LP great.
Chester has "HUGE Obsession" with Final Fantasy in his own words.
hell yeah! I love Linkin Park so much! They are my favorite band in the world. They rock
Their music is the best. I can't describe how great they are, but one thing is for sure.... they are the living Beatles.
I love LP since I was a child and up to now, I am still a fan of this group. I don't care if they are old because even at their age, they can still create wonderful musical masterpiece.
I do not really see how they are the living Beetles. How their music is completely different is one thing, but also The Beetles are such an acclaimed band of musical history because they were a breath or fresh air. They were something different which caused a huge sensation. Linkin Park became popular, but nothing like how the reception for the Beetles was. I also don't see Linkin Park being a band praised in 35 years time as being "one of the gratest musical sensations of all time". I'm not even a huge Beetles fan, but I do praise them for their success and breathing inspiration into loads of future artists. The rap-rock genre had been around since the early 90s with the likes of Faith No More (who I think are bloody brilliant), so Linkin Park were not quite so pioneering as some people seem to think. They definatly did a good job of uniting all us angry and pissed off "looser" kiddies back in 2001 though!
I do still stand by my post from 3 years ago that I do still listen to a few songs off Hybrid Theory or Meteora when they come on my random playlist, and it does bring back memories of how into them I was when I was 12/13. I would not say that thay are the greatest band in the world, or one of the greatest, but they do have some good teen angst tunes.
Let's go into the "archives" in "Washington D.C." and find out how people "masturbated" in the "roaring 20's."
Crao Porr Cock8. Bitch.
The Beatles?!
The Beatles helped bring rock as we know it to America. Linkin Park helped to start the whole emo/ I'm so broken trend.
The results speak for themselves.

Okay, that's taking it too far. The Beatles were one of the most innovative bands for rock music. Linkin Park fits in with the modern rock era; they haven't really changed anything.
Darn, I changed the quote coding...

I'm pretty sure I've said the gist of this elsewhere;
When I was 14-15 I was big into Linkin Park, they were, in fact, my favorite band. I saw them live 3 times, which, to this day, is more than I've seen any other bands combined (3 Linkin Park concerts, a Weird Al concert, and a Paramour concert (for the girlfriend.))
Their first album is still worth a listen every so often, but only when I'm in the mood to reminisce. Everything beyond their first has gotten progressively worse, and when Mike did that stupid side project and they made the album with Jay-Z I pretty much walked away from this band completely. Especially after discovering thoughtful music.
Anyways, the only reason their first album was as "good" as it was was because they'd been working on it for damn near a decade. All but maybe 2 songs were written over the course of 5-10 years before they signed a record deal.
Lol "Him" and I adore them there newest album sucks! Hybrid theory album was the best!
