    Industrial music?

    Anyone else into industrial?

I recently got into tons of industrial bands. My favourites are KMFDM and Skinny Puppy.

If you're not too familiar with the genre, start here

    YouTube - KMFDM - Moron

    YouTube - Skinny Puppy // 02-Protest

YouTube - Nine Inch Nails: Head Like A Hole (1990)

YouTube - MINISTRY Just One Fix

ACtually I have been an avid fan of industrial music for umm, can't remember right now; alot of damn years haha.

It is funny you bring up KMFDM and you don't mention MDFMK. Given it is the same band but I have seen both in concert a few times. My favorite would probably be when they played here in Tulsa with Rammstein.

I think I won't be able to let go of that side of me for a very long time.

I happen to love Skinny Puppy and KMFDM...

I'm not going to pronounce too many Industrial bands because that always starts people arguing over what is Industrial and what isn't. I like Android Lust, Nin, Einsturzende Neubauten, Throbbing Gristle and Laibach.

Although I'm not into Industrial as much as I once was and have moved off to other fare, they still occupy my iPod and are very much apart of what I consider "My Music".

It's pretty hard to pin Industrial, anyways. Most people think immediately of Rammstein, since it's the band that mostly popularized the genre in the US and America, but aside from them they're pretty obscure.

I'd say my oft-listened Industrial bands (or what I think are Industrial bands) are OOMPH! from Germany and Turmion Katilot from Finland. The first band is pretty unique, a bit more melodic than Rammstein but still awesome. The band singer (Dero) has a quite natural voice, unlike Till's guttural voice.

TK is more akin to what Industrial usually is, mixing a big lot of electronica and techno with rock riffs. Their lyrics are also bizarre at most, never meant to be understood because of the insanity they evoke.

Although they're labeled as "alternative", most of the Industrial concepts are also present in the band Santos Inocentes from Argentina. Their most popular album (Megatón) has a big mixture of techno, a rough start of jungle, and mostly frenetic riffs inspired mostly by the Latin American rock bands of the time. It's a shame that they split, even though their lyrics are mostly melodic and very hard to make sense off (even to a native Spanish speaker)

Durr, my sister listens to Turmion Kätilöt. One freaky band, if you ask me. D:

There's one Rammstein-ish Finnish industrial band called Ruoska if someone's interested. Though the lyrics are all Finnish.

One of the few industrial bands I currently listen to is SinMasters. I couldn't find any of the songs in their original versions, but I found a set of remixes in YouTube: Click me!

Or you can just go to MySpace and search them.
