b) recommending fender isn't the thing to do here - as epiphone makes mostly humbucker equipped models, and has a lot of hollow body models too (i should know, as my main axe is the noel gallagher union jack supernova sheriton). i personally can't stand the twang of those fender single coil guitars - not enough meat for my space rocking tastes.

i just found your comment to be a little demeaning to my favorite guitar manufacturer
It's all preferance, and nothing more. I throw what I think out there, it's just friendly advice, take it or leave it. Not to mention that you can buy Fenders with humbuckers at the bottom. They're fair price, and good quality too. And I do know that they aren't a knock off I only said that because I find Epiphones to just not be as good of quality as gibsons. I've played both and you can tell theres a differance, from the feel of the neck, to the sound of the guitar. Oh and by the way I played a standard Gibson Les Paul and Standard Epiphone Les Paul, just so you know that I wasn't mixing an Epiphone SG with a Gibson Les Paul or anything stupid like that, that would make an obvious differance in the whole situation.
