Bob Crosby and the Bobcats

Decided to make a thread about some music with a bit 'o' culture no less! Wondered if we had any fans of Dixieland jazz music in TFF these days, and if so do you like Bob?
Bob is perhaps best known as being Bing Crosby's brother but was the head of a highly successful Big Band jazz outfit, the Bobcats. Their music was a combination of original works and covers of American Songbook classics. They were active from the 1930's all the way through until the late 50's and early 60's when 'Rock and Roll' replaced Big Band and New Orleans-inspired R'n'B.
If you've played the game Fallout 3 you'll have heard two tracks - Way Back Home and Happy Times, also in the film the Inspector General. Chances are you'll have heard their rendition of Dear Hearts and Gentle People too - It was the trailer music for the game.

So just two simple questions - one, if you have heard of them what do you think? And secondly any other Dixieland or Dixie-style jazz outfits you could recommend?

Ahem. I first heard Bob's music in Fallout 3, and I doubt I'd ever have heard his music if I hadn't got the game. Since then, I've pestered various sites, and friends (Martin, mainly) for some of Bobcats tracks.

I can't recommend much jazz. My sister was a big jazz fan, and dragged me along to a few festivals. When we get back in touch, I'll be sure to tell you about them. ^^
