I don't know any artists but I love Japanese and Chinese music.Idk but after I listen to them like 3 times,i can sing the entire song.

Most of Japanese music that I listen come from anime series, so yes you could say that I love Japanese music although I'm not so familiar with many Japanese singers. My favorite is Kajiura Yuki, she made many excellent songs especially those for Noir and she also has calm and beautiful voice which I really like. Even tho I didn't listen many songs from Kōji Wada still I really liked the ones I did.

i do love japanese music..
my fave J-boy band is NEWS especially one of the member, Kato Shigeaki [he's sooooooo~ cool!].
and my fave singer is Mika Nakashima, she has a great voice..also i like YUI, she looks cool when she play her guitar..

It seems I have stummbled onto the Weaboo post, jk, no offence, lol. I listen to some Japanes music every now and then. A friend just recently got me into Gackt. Besides that, I dont listen to any other japanes bands or music.

I do. I started off liking bands like Dir en Grey, Luna Sea, X Japan then I went more pop liking News, Arashi, Kanjani8, even Morning Musume a couple of years ago.
Now I'm in a mix of Girugamesh, AAA, Kanjani8, and some kpop bands too.

L'Arc~en~Ciel is really what got me interested in Japanese pop/rock music, and, while I cited them as my favourite band for a while, I've come to be more obsessed with X Japan and Malice Mizer much more. Moi Dix Mois, on an aside, is a little spotty for me (as I liked their earlier albums, but the last few have been lacking). I love Gackt's voice, but I don't have much of his solo stuff. Speaking of voices, I also agree with SacredAngel13 that Mika Nakashima's voice is great. I'm also really obsessed with Yuki Kajiura's works. .hack//Sign is probably my favourite series she's worked on. Lastly, the Pillows and B'z are also enjoyable any time.

I like it.
My favourie singer is Angela Aki(the girl who sang "Kiss me goodbye" in FF12). She writes songs, plays the piano, composes the music and sings, and has a beautiful voice!^__^

I also listen to Ayumi Hamasaki, Megumi Hayashibara, Anna Tsuchiya, L'arc~en~ciel, Porno Graffitti, Ai Otsuka, Koda Kumi, Akino, Mikuni SHimokawa, Do as Infinity...

I've only 2-3 sing by every of them and I like them so much!!! XD

I swear everytime I read a post like this it seems like everyone lists the SAME thing. Haven't you people heard anything besides the stuff that EVERYONE already knows about?

Jrock has lost all of its orginality for me, and Jpop is pretty much just a "new cute girl group every week" kind of thing now. And anime music is the kind of music that gets really popular when a new show comes out, then kind of loses its appeal after a while. This is especially true when said music gets replaced with new music for the next few episodes until the circle begins again.

I'm not saying that I hate all Jrock/Jpop/Anime/Game music, but there are certainly better songs than others...and I tend to like the songs that most people don't seem to pay much attention to.

When I listen to Japanese music nowadays, I usually listen to enka. Of course, most of you people would probably be turned off by it because it's more of an aquired taste I suppose, but to me, it's music with real emotion.

Most of my music is somewhat defined by the country its from so I tend to listen to a lot of Metal from France, Sweden and Germany but I do have a few bands that I quite enjoy from Japan.

The most well known one would be Sigh, I got into them quite a while ago after getting one their Vinyls and the played a small part in the beginning of the Black Metal scene outside of Norway. They have more of a symphonic borderline ambient sound like of like Dimmu Borgir. I believed they used a lot of their ideas from Western Horror movies. Good Metal if you ask me.

I'm listening to a band called Boris right now which are Doom/Stoner Metal but they drift between Metal and Ambient at times. These days I've been listening to a lot of Doom Metal and somebody suggested the album Pink to me. It's quite out there at times which is what I really like about them.

I also recently checked out Sabbat's For Satan and Sacrifice. It's good old fashion Thrash Metal with semi-Engrish vocals and it's ****ing awesome. Only listened to it a few times but its still quite good.

As for J-Pop some of its ok, somebody suggested Perfume to me which is kind of cute and catchy. I've seen a video of C-ute but it was a bit too much for me.

There's a few other Japanese Metal bands I have but can't be bothered looking through them.

I'm not that big into Japanese music as I have only one Japanese band, The Pillows (FLCL). I also have music from DJ Sharpnel, music from DDR (which could be japanese not sure), and a few song from Utada (Kingdom Hearts intros). I also like a few of the songs from the Gundam franchise and from a few other animes.

Boredoms (started out a noise-rock band, moved into more psych rock, and are now in the tribal drumming zone - it's all brilliant anyway)
OOIOO (side-project band of a member of Boredoms)
Mono (soaring instrumental rock)
Cornelius (sort of chilled-out dance/pop)
Boris (metal/noise rock)
Shugo Tokumaru (guitar pop)

those sorts of bands...im really into visual kei
im always trying to find out new bands ive not heard of so if anyone has any suggestions!!!

I don't listen to alot of japanese music, except for high and mighty color. I first heeard them on one of the song for Gundam, after that I started listening to them alot. THey have multiple good songs but my favorite has gotta be pride..
