Small Girl, Big Life

My sister's girlfriend had to put her dog to sleep this morning.

Bennett was an incredible soul - not a mean bone in his body and always happy, ready to play. After I had Parker, he was so gentle with her and of course, he absolutely -loved- to go on walks with me. He kinda learned our schedule and when it was time for us to go for our walk, he'd bark and scratch at the door going to my sister's garage and would wiggle himself into his halter. He loved it.

He's had congestive heart failure for the last year and it's been a miracle he made it this long. And yes, he -was- a person. Just like my Bozo and my Max were and my sister's Chelsey and numerous other dogs.

He steadily declined in health and they finally had to make the decision to just put him to sleep.
