episode 31 is out, it's a pretty sad episode but it's good
Eh, the last like 10 episodes of Shippuden have been shitty fillers and it's pissing me off. I really hope they don't decide to do something similar like--I don't know--making 2 years of fillers? I mean JUST as Naruto was actually getting good again they pull this shit. Same with Bleach. I don't care what excuses they make, fillers in any series need to die, period.

I think it started off good until after the Naruto/Sasuke fight then kinda went down hill until the newer series. I've had to watch it japanese due to the horrible voice acting. I did the same thing with Advent Children for the same reason(Dilly Dally Shilly Shally()
Naruto is good i only just started watching it and it seems pretty good.

I am definitely a fan of Naruto. I really like both manga and anime. ^^
So, for anyone who's actually following the series as it comes out in Japan, I'm curious what people think of Sai so far. He's pretty obviously a jerk, and I'm somewhat curious what his alternate agenda was (the mission that he got, that is). Although, to be fair, the ways he's irritating Sakura and naruto right now make me crack up. I'm sure his agenda is contrary to naruto's and Sakura's, but we know he hasn't done anything major until they find Sasuke (as we found out in the beginning of the first episode of Shippuden). So is Sai just a jerk, or is he actually going to be evil at some point?

I don't like Sai. In fact, I want to punch him in the face. Repeatedly. His attitude is terrible. Whatever his secret mission is will probably have strong consequences, either to Team Kakashi or, more likely, to Tsunade's position as Hokage. Even if my guess is wrong, I still think he's bad news in general.

I actually read ahead of the anime and know what happens, and all I will say is that Sai is indeed not a jerk and will not be going evil any time soon. >_>;
But I will say things will get pretty interesting from here on in.

Yeah I heard about that spoiler but I refuse to read up on it.
The last few episodes have been real boring, it took a whole episode just for them to get ready I mean come on that was quite a let down. But it looks like it will get better from here on out. As for Sai he looks f*cking queer but I won't be so quick to judge, rather I'll wait to see what happens with him.
Naruto's a great anime.
My fave character is Sasuke, he's just so cool.
I refuse to watch any further than what is already out, as tempting as it may be. Partially because I'm one of the few who likes my anime dubbed.
Anyway, I've got all of the available mangas that I'm aware of that have been released in the states. Good stuff. The show definitely left out a few gory little parts. I've started to buy the uncut box sets, but I only have two of them right now.
As far as characters go...Gaara. Gaara is such a sweet character. Probably one of my favorite anime characters of all time.

I'm not really too much into Naruto. The English version sucks, and probably doesn't have as accurate translations as the subbed version might have (I still need to check this out, though). The one thing that I can't stand about the series is that annoying "Believe It!" catchphrase that Naruto always uses. It's annoying.
Overall, though, the series isn't that bad. The manga is much better, though. I stopped watching the series once the fillers kicked in and pretty much ruined it. Not all fillers are bad, but for Naruto, they were.
i cant stand my anime dubbed however i share your appreciation for gaara

I think the Naruto series is excellent. I enjoy the manga as well as the show. I love all of the characters backstories and I think the plot is very emotional and the fighting is superb.

I think Naruto is the most popular manga still to this date. As for the anime im not sure but im sure it's up there in the top 10.

Oh definitely, every now and then there'll be some boring issues, but for the most part the manga is flawless. I love all of the stories. But what I love most about Naruto is you never know who will win the fight. Dragonball was all about Goku. Esepecially in the GT series. I know a lot of people will say there were other characters, but they would always get beat up and Goku would have to save the day. To me thats a boring story line, t I still liked that anime as well. However, it's nice to see a series where there are a lot more strong characters then just the main one.
I love Naruto. My favorite is Sasuke and Kakashi sensei. There sharingan is the bomb. Oh I also like the pervy sage. That was cool that when he taught Naruto how to summon the toads, he ended up summoning the big toad. It scared the crap out of him. But anyway I don't really read the manga anymore (ain't got the money). I watch the show. I haven't seen the show in a couple of weeks so I don't know what is happening.
Iv not been into anime long only about a year or so but naruto stands out from the few anime i have seen (probably because he wears bright orange lol), but as the only way i can get online is via my mobile i cant get anything other than what is on dvd which is only up to s-3,p-1 unleashed (i live in england) i was wondering if the shippuden is near realeace?

I have a question f'r all y'all: what's the appeal of Naruto about? I tried watching it, and it seems decent enough... but nothing I'd really consider getting into. I like Bleach, and I'm currently two volumes away from finishing reading the awesomeness of Death Note, but... Naruto seems a bit of a moot point for me. If anyone could help explain what they see in it, perhaps I might be able to see a reason in liking it.

I was originally dragged into watching it. But having watch a good chunk of the series and read a good chunk of the manga as well. I can honestly say that it's mostly excellent and (Mostly) well thought out.

Are they still playing fillers? I haven't caught up on Naruto or Bleach in ages, I need to spend the day getting heaps of episodes and catching up on them.
Naruto ends with filler, but Naruto Shippuuden just started their filler arc like a couple months ago, I haven't watched any of the anime recently, I took a pause from the manga because going week to week waiting to figure out what's going on is just.. too suspenseful haha =P
was never an Inuyasha fan cause of the characters in it and the storyline didn't speak out to me... but thats not what i'm here for i watched naruto and the first 200 episodes were fun and awsome and everyone was in it then i went to the manga and what i've seen so far bores the ever loving hell out of me! every chapter is another Sasuke filled depression hole and Naruto is no where to be found besides like 2 pages.
Knowing the anime they will do the same cause it is the manga they have to follow to after all but then there gonna add fillers that make u want to rip ur eyes out with rusty metal
