That is a good question. I'll give you the answer.

First you have to go to the Centra Ruins. (Place where you get Odin.) I would suggest doing this after you get Odin. While you are there you have to defeat approximately 20 Tonberrys. If you need help defeating Tonberrys just ask. Then after you defeat the Tonberrys, the Tonberry King will appear. (Immediatly after the battle. You won't exit the battle.) Be prepared to fight. Tonberry King can be tough. If you need help with him just ask again. Once you defeat him he is all yours.

Ok. So Tonberry King is pretty tough. First of all you can't use Diablos like you could for all the regular Tonberrys. So really this GFs attacks aren't much more powerful than regular Tonberrys, but he is much faster. If he is too fast for you, you might want to cast haste on your party. Also Protect is good for lowering the damage he does. Also this GF has great magic for you to draw. He has Death Full-Life and Curaga. (If you are at a high enough level.) So healing should be a breeze. If someone dies revive with Full-Life, and if someone is hurt use Curaga. Also I would suggest stocking up on some Full-Lifes. They can increase your stats a bit and they are rare to come by. So really this fight will just take a long time. Use your GFs and if you get a Limit Break those are great too. Yes I believe this battle took me a long time! If you feel you are not strong enough yet, you can wait until later in the game when your GFs are more compatible and are stronger. I hope this helps.

I had troubles finding her house the first time I played as well, I don't know how long it took me to find her house but I know it too too long! It's around the bottom left hand corner of the map, well close enough anyway.

Simply get as many thunder elemental magics junctioned to your elemental defense as possible. piece of cake.

I didn't find that battle very difficult which is surprising! I would recommend casting shell and protect on your party. Just hit her with limit breaks or use Leviathan and Diablos and you should be able to take her down pretty easily. Use potions or cure spells if you have to as well.

I hope that helps! Don't use Carbuncle lol, he's not really effective.

Not really a method I'd recommend, but first time I took her on, I tanked up Squall with super HP and strength Made him the pruimary attacker. Regardless of what is happening, he always attacks.

Have a second character as a healer, dishing out Cura's and Curaga's. Might be agood idea to stock up on items if your struggeling.

Then have the third charcter switching between healing and attack. But when you can, throw out some support magic, like your doubles, shells,haste etc... And if you've managed to scrounge any, use Aura on Squall ASAP, before she casts her big nasty limit break killing move.

It usually works... for any boss. But it might take a bit longer.

Thanks but it worked for me.

She will probably cast reflect on herself so that means any spells you use on her will just be reflected back to you so don't use any black magic on her. The only spell that doesn't reflect back is Meltdown so if you have any of that, you might want to use it on her.

I do agree about the above posters thing about having a character mainly for healing, that could be really handy if she is dealing serious damage to your party. If she isn't then just keep using Diablos (He's really handy!) or limit breaks and it should be over in no time. Do not use Carbuncle because if you do, your cure spells with be reflected on to her and it's just bad!

im trying to upgrade all the characters, and i need adamantoise. i lost my card in a game and well, can't seem to find an adamanatoise on long horn island for the life of me. any ideas?

Try to win back the card, 'cos you don't get just one piece from it, 10 pieces is pretty damn usueful, and it'll probbaly take you longer to get 10 pieces fighting than to win it back.
Check Minotaur on your card list and it'll tell you to whom you lost it.

I think you can find them around the beaches of Dollet aswell.

yeah,Raines is right,i used up the admantine when i had it and i had a hell of a time trying to get it from the admantoise,if you do it by fighting,you need diablo's mug and
i belive bahamuts rare item ability

Absolutely wrong!! Adamantoise drops Adamantine, When you mug this monster you will receive Orihalcon ( GF learns Vit+40% ability ), This item (Orihalcon) is really useful but you don't need it to upgrade any of your weapons...

Don't use Mug with this monster if you want to get Adamantine!

Its ok buddy, I just want to mention that Bahamut's Rare Item ability is not necessary when you want receive Adamantine..BUT!

Each Adamantoise drops 1 Adamantine for sure, Rare Item ability increases your chances
to receive 2 Adamantines from one Adamantoise.

Not necessarily, I fought them without the rare item ability and didn't always recieve one from both Adamantoise's. I don't even bother with that ability but it would probably increase your luck in getting two.

Yeah and as previously stated, do not MUG! If you mug either Adamantoise, you will not receive an Adamantine! They can sometimes take a while to defeat but it's worth it in the end.

That's strange because I always seem to find one sooner or later. You are running around on the beach part of the island, aren't you? It sometimes can take a while to encounter one but usually you can always manage to see a few there. That's pretty strange.

With the card, I would say try to win it back as well because it is very handy to have.

That depends on them level, In that situation I strongly recommend to use Tonbbery's command ability ( LV UP ) because I believe :

Anyone know the easiest way to kill Ultima Weapon? I tried and got light pillered six freaking times in a row..........

To bad I'm not in that 2%, and I allso heard somewhere else that its actually 96%. Who knows.

I swear I posted an easy way to beat Ultima Weapon somewhere in here. I guess I'll just post it again.

Also for my way to beat Ultima will require you to have the following. You will need: Doomtrain (Meltdown), Cerberus (Triple), Shell (optional), Protect (optional), Recover (optional), Revive (optional), Squall's Lionheart, Zell's Ehrgeiz (optional), Holy War, and Aura. These are pretty much all the optional things in the game. If you need help getting any of these things just PM me or write post again in this in this forum.

Ultima Weapon can be really easy. (especially when you compare him to Omega Weapon!) For a character set up I would suggest. One person to have GF, Magic Revive. Another to have GF, Magic, and Recover. The third character to have GF, Magic, and Draw. Really you can have any characters, but I like to use Squall (Lionheart), Zell (Dual), and anyone. I usually use Rinoa or Selphie. Now for the actual battle. First make sure you draw Eden with your character that has draw. You wouldn't want to forget this. (Best summon in the game!) Now with another character I would have them summon Doomtrain. This will significantly lower Ultima's defense. (Meltdown works as well.) Now with the third character I would have them summon Cerberus. This will cast Triple on everyone. (Triple works just as well, but you would have to cast it three times.) Now if you are worried about your defenses, have one person cast protect on all, one person cast shell on all, and then have the third person use Curaga on all injured characters. If people really aren't that injured, have that person cast Aura on everyone. (This is probably very unlikely.) Now have someone use a Holy War while you still have Aura in effect. Finally unleash all of your devastating Limit Breaks. After that just repeat. Cast Aura, use Holy War, and unleash your Limit Breaks. If people get injured use Recover, Revive, or have them cure with magic. They will probably still have triple, so healing should have much of a problem. If you have any questions or any of this doesn't work, just send me a PM or post again in here saying what went wrong. I can just make improvements for you. I really haven't played against Ultima Weapon in a while, so this might not work out perfectly. I hope this helps you a lot!!!

Anyway, I just want to mention that there is actually a hidden save point nearby the final control panel where you use the remaining steam units to activate it. Make sure you save your game there using your Move-Find ability before you fight Ultima Weapon.

ok I'm having problems with ultimecia and I'm pretty sure this is probobly here somewhere but could you answer a couple questions for me

1: my squall is sooooo far in front of all my other charcters (highest squall LV91 and selphyLV30-somethin) what level should the rest of my characters be on to beat her without luck factoring in?

2: do you absolutely need the lion heart? Because I have the punishment but it does almost nothing to ultimecia and greivor.

3: do I need to get bahamut and eden to beat here?

4: what amount of time do I need to beat here (so I can make arrangements to have a sitting for X-min/hours

Hmm. Really the answer to all of them is a matter of opinion. Here's mine:

1. I'd say a good 50-60 party should have a decent chance, but what magic you junction would certainly factor into it.

2. Lionheart is pretty much essential because of Squall's level. This is because an enemy's HP and level are cumulative with his level, so at 91, she'll be pretty tough. It's not too hard to get Lionheart normally but... if you haven't got any Energy Crystals (for your pulse ammo) then it will be very very tough to make. (I'm not saying it's a disaster if you don't have it, but it would really help)

3. I don't personally use GF's, so I wouldn't say you'd need them. I doubt you'd be able to get Eden now (as you'll have missed it on the seven sub-bosses and Ultima is a struggle at any level (you'd really need Lionheart for THAT one...)) but the first level of the Deep-Sea Research Center you shouldn't struggle, and Bahamut should be a breeze.

4. All depends on where you level. If you can find the Island Closest To Heaven/Hell tolerable then a few hours should be all you need.

Well my friend, Dragon Fangs can be won as a result of battle from Blue Dragons if you have the Rare Item Ability on. I remember hearing somewhere that if you use GF Tonberry's Lvl Down on it (lower than lvl 10 I think) you don't need Rare Item. You can find them near the Shumi Village or on the Island Closest to Hell.

Pulse ammo will be harder to get though. There are only two places in the game (that I know of) where you can fight Elnoyles - they drop Energy Crystals. One was the bridge in the middle of Esthar City, but as you can't now get there that's a knock-off. The other is in the Lunatic Pandora. I don't think you can get there either...

You can change Laser Cannons or Energy Generators into Pulse ammo but they're also pretty rare.
