I'm at like 49 fragments now, hoping to get at least a few more today.
Only being able to play on the weekends bites the big one.

Ok, I'm back and let's see if I can post one thread without getting gigged for it.. I'm having a hard time with finding all these adornments and wondering if you guys are too.. I mean I want to get all but the two that I know I can't get (having to do with needing a FF13 game saved on the console), but, really.. The clues to where they all are, some are just terrible.. So, I want to hear from those of you who have found all or most of them.. It's silly how long I've been after a few of them..
Also, has anyone ran out of wild artifacts and found themselves going back to try and find extras? Just happened to me today.. Arrgg.. Very aggravating.. I'm racing my chocobo trying to get enough casino coins together to buy the one at Serendipity..![]()
Made it to 63 fragments, and got my first Paradox ending. Lots of progress this weekend, this game is soooo much fun!!!
Just letting you all know that I bought serahs swimsuit from the DLC menu and its really awesome. I especially like going to archalyte steppe and watching the rain trickle down her body![]()
There will be an option called "download" in the main menu of FFXIII-2 as soon as you power up the game. In here, you will find all available DownLoadableContent. Noel doesnt have a swimsuit, but he has a 'starfighter' (or something along those lines) warrior suit that you can purchase.
But really, the rain trickling down her torso MMMHMMM!
... really?
No offense, but... When I finally had the DLC menu I checked it out, awaiting AWESOME stuff to download, like... I don't know, minigames for the casino. Then I saw the swimsuit and I really really thought: "Who the heck would buy THIS?!"
..... *coughs* Really, do you need that? What's the point in getting new clothes for the characters? Especially a SWIMSUIT! I wouldn't want to fight wearing one, to be honest. Oo
As for myself, I would be able to finish the game within five hours now, as I'm just one step away from chapter 6. But I don't want to. xP
I've 97 fragments so far, now trying to get the last fragments from Serendipity.
Also, I feel that there's so much missing for me... There are some gates which still aren't opened, although I think I've used all wild artefacts and there is just one gate left for me, if I remember correctly. So... I still have to find out how to access all areas. (Probably you have to finish the game to get access to the last ones...)
The story turned out not to be complicated at all, though I thought it would become more and more complicated towards the end... It's sad that it's all so... yeah, easy at the end. In the middle of the game I thought it'd be a conflict of bad people not being bad at all. Not it's just an evil person you need to destroy... lame. But FF-like, nonetheless.
Still, I like the game (although the casino's driving me nuts).
I hope the ending will be good.
For all who've completed the game by this time, you may laugh at my horrible vision of the ending:
SPOILER!!:
9x-7i > 3(3x-7u)
You can rest assured that none of those things happen in the ending of the game Freya. While I can't say you will necessarily like the ending, you don't have to worry about that.
Minor hint...
Spoiler:
It's not a happy ending.

[QUOTE=Freya;1327225]... really?

You're quite right to feel a bit insulted but it IS typical of Japanese games to make skimpy and ridiculous outfits for their women characters.. You did notice there is not a swimsuit for Noel, right? There's another RPG game I just love called Dark Cloud 2 and I'm not positive the makers are Japanese but you can also get really overly sexual outfits for the girl protagonist in the game if you want.. It seems the guys love this stuff and that's probably why it's done so often..
I mean look at FF10.. What woman in her right mind would go out and fight monsters and trek across the country in Lulu's heavy skirt and Yuna's long one?
The Japanese just love putting absurd outfits on their females that none of us would ever be caught dead traipsing around in.. At least, I wouldn't.. Give me a comfy pair of jeans, a t-shirt and a pair of worn tennis shoes and, with the right weapon, I'm ready to go wipe out a whole nest of monsters!
Btw, I'm like you, although I hurried through the game the first time, I really taking my time this round.. I've got nearly all the fragments but, more importantly, I'm going for a complete monster collection.. My characters are at 99 for everything.. I just (finally) got Tonberry for my collection (took eight tries to get him, whew!).. I've also been concentrating on racing my Silver and Gold Chocobos in order to get enough coins to get all the adornment collectables.. And if anyone can tell me why Seltzer's Dice and that 1-Gil thingy are special or what they do, I'd love to know why they are highlighted..
So I'm really having fun this time around.. The game has so much to do and find.. I think it's better then the original but that's me.. I thought 10-2 was also better then 10 (except for the fact that Auron wasn't in it, damn, I LOVED Auron)..![]()
Freya, I'm the kind of guy that likes to create sexual, ampal breast, cute female characters as my playable character. The swimsuit added to the sexiness/cuteness of serah and I find that awesome. Being a girl and person with different tastes, its understandable that you might find that hard to understand. Dont fret though Freya, there is more DLC to come including new games to play at the casino, card games in fact. I dont like the idea having to pay to download 'episodes' in order to complete a game, but as long as theres some sexy outfits, I dont mind.
Lightning you get from the Arena DLC...I was really into this for awhile but then I picked up Reckoning and now the collector's edition sits on my shelf all dainty like. I am still planning on buckling down and finishing the main story and get everything there is to get but I'm very undecided on picking up the bonus DLC stuff.
I mean having to pay out everytime a new episode comes out is going to get a little pricey I think. I guess it will depend on how much they release. Saying that is there any confirmation on how many DLC packages will be released?
EBG
My favourite pack is Lightning as RAV (att: 917 Mag: 974) Silver chocobo as Sentinel (10,000hp) and Omega as Commando (attacks deal massive damage)
I don't think the DLC stuff is too expensive.. I mean the Sazh DLC is the highest at a bit over $5 but the outfits are only $2.99 (I got the cool fitted one for Noel, but that's it).. I didn't really see much else yet.. There were no weapons or the like.. This is actually my first time purchasing some DLC for a game but this is also my first PS3 game.. I bought ff13 for my XBox.. Most of my games are for the PS2 and the Wii..![]()
This is me when im playing.
My team is pretty poorly built because I only built enough to get by rather than to overpower. So I have Golden Chocobo (COM), Flanitor (MED), and the Flan Sentinel.
As for DLC there is no specifics right now, just a lot of rumors. Current reports are there will be a Snow story DLC pack and then for the Colosseum Jihl (FFXIII), Gilgamesh (FFV) and a FFVI villain.

Yesterday, after my boyfriend discovered the cardgames in the Sazh DLC, I got through the story and... really? That's it? There's nothing more? And Sazh as a party member isn't useful AT ALL. ._. I really thought there would be more to it...
Don't get me wrong: The cardgames were nice to play, especially Chronobind. But it was way too short. I played it only about 2 hours to get through. That's just not enough. And I hated being stuck in Serendipity all the time, without a chance to get out. :/ And I already knew everything about Chocolina...
So... what exactly did I purchase this for? Nothing. Nothing AT ALL!
I was really hoping there would be a great story. Also, I don't think Sazh would react the way he did at the end:
SPOILER!!:
Shortly said: I'm disappointed. ._.
9x-7i > 3(3x-7u)
I defeated Long Gui this weekend, and now have him on farm status. It's amazing how much of a difference Tortoise makes! I guess I am super unlucky because out of about 15 or so fights, not a single Adamantite dropped. It's the only ingredient I need for the ultimate weapons!! I know Chocobo racing yields them at a much better rate, but to be honest I'm scared to get back into it. It seems a bit daunting with the passive abilities and infusion, etc. I dabbled in it earlier in the game, but was totally destroyed at the beginner level.
Why are you scared to race your Chocobo.. Do you have the Silver? Once you do and infuse it with a Lv 1. Pulse Gladiator, a Lv. 24 Microchu, a Lv 1. Cait Sith, a Lv. 16 Bamapama, a Lv. 8 Flandit, a Lv 1. Pitterpatter and a Lv. 1 Cactuar to get all the best passive abilities.. All of these monsters are pretty easy to replace for the Monster quest Bestiary, so don't worry about that part.. Each will infuse your Silver Chocobo with great racing abilities and he will win pretty much all the time.. You can win some great items that you can't get anywhere else (especially adornments)..
Have fun!
What I find a waste of time and money is the slot machine.. I've never won on that thing once! It just keeps hitting the same few icons time after time.. A big cheat if you ask me..![]()

Gosh hon.. I just assumed you needed to have them in possession.. It's difficult to tell and my strategy guide doesn't say either way.. I guess the only way to find out is to gather up all the difficult ones and then go check it out with Dr. M.. If you're missing any of the easy ones you used for infusing then I guess you need to have them all in your possession..
Perhaps someone else knows for sure?
Possession isn't required for the quest. All you have to do is encounter them once. You don't end need to complete the information for the monster. So it is not as scary as you thought it might be.

I'm now at 159 fragments and have 4 trophies left to get... Now to find every monster to get my last fragment before trying to get the Giant's Fist trophy and beating the final bosses once more.
I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to to obtain the Giants Fist Trophy. I just staggered Long Gui to 999.9% and pounded him in Agression and all of a sudden the trophy popped. I wasn't even going for it! Good luck to you.
P.S. I did not debuff him at all, and the only buffs I had on my party were from the Buccaboo Ace Feral Link.
Well, I have 155 fragments and am down to trying to get my last monster for the Bestiary and I'm absolutely stuck! I have tried a 1/2 dozen times to get the correct monster to spawn with nary a peek at it! It's called the Tezcatlipoca and it's suppose to spawn in Academia 500AF in the very NE corner platform (according to my strategy guide) and though I've closed the door and gone through the maze again and again the only things that I can get to spawn there are Xoloti and Miquiztili.. I can like kill them with about 4 hits now and have (though I haven't rcvd'd either's crystals, which I'd love to get).. Has anyone had the same problem getting this monster to show up? I'm using the Battlemania Fragment but it hasn't helped any.. I just keep getting the other two.. Getting very aggravating to being this close to completing the Bestiary and not being able to do it..![]()
Well I beat the game earlier today. Fragment total was at 127/160. Got the Chronosavior trophy on the first attempt. Being a bit OP and having Tonberry helps. I'll keep working on getting the other fragments till next Tuesday at which time Tales of Graces F is released.
Noticed that they re-used plot points from FFXIII pretty blatantly, but overall the I find it slightly better than the first. Gameplay helped in making it better, but a noticeably short story did not.
And I feel that I may stay away from the DLC. Unless it continues the story after the ending and meets other requirements of mine. Remember when Omega was in V, VIII, X, XII without having to pay extra for him (null if you got the pre-order bonus with him)? Or how there were secret characters in VI & VII that we did not need to pay to acquire. Or how "secret"/"super" weapons were hidden or a sidequest in the game without having to pay to get them. Remember the Coliseum in VI, the Battle Arena in VII, & the Monster Arena in X and how there were monsters there to fight without having to pay extra to fight those monsters? Why aren't those included in the game to begin with? If you are to add stuff to the game then clearly it was not finished. I like my off-line games to be completed to the extent the developers want when released.
Main series FFs Beaten - FF: 4x, FFII: 3x, FFIII: 3x, FFIV: 3x, FFV: 3x, FFVI: 4x, FFVII: 5x, FFVIII: 5x, FFIX: 3x, FFX: 4x, FFXII: 3x, FFXIII: 2x, FFXV: 2x
The best thing to do is go over to the "island" mass that they spawn on. If you see the two of them jump away and run far enough for them to despawn. It is not too far, you'll probably just have to jump up the couple of sections of platforms. Then jump back and check to see what spawns. Just keep repeating until it actually spawns. It took me 4 attempts after I accidentally jumped away and lost him the first attempt.
May will bring Lightning DLC that is said to explain more of the ending, if that interests you Zargabaath.

Hey, does anyone know the year in whitch you find Lighting. I kinda quit till i can figure out the year, but I have yet found it. It is really making me mad. The best FF character I like isn't even played in the game except the very begining.
I am hoping I am not the only one who feels this way!
You can get Lightning as DLC and beat her to try and get her in your team as a monster, making her playable. Otherwise she's not a playable character.
