Just finished watching Hellsing and kaichou wa Maid-sama, Hellsing was pretty cool, and Kaicho was also pretty cool, kinda didn't agree with the ending though.

Despite being childish and cheesy at times I had fun watching the first season of Digimon once again, for sake of nostalgia if nothing else. Umisho is another one I've seen, it made laugh which by the way is his strongest, and only point. Don't know should I put this here as well, Chronicles of Riddick - Dark Fury, huge fan of both Pitch Black and Chronicles of Riddick, enjoyed watching it, it certainly explained few things.

Re: Last Anime You Watched 2.0

I watched all of G Gundam which I had not seen most of the second half. This show brought back gundam from Victory Gundam (I'm about to watch) which had the worst ratings at the time. G Gundam is definitely a favorite of mine, better than ZZ so it brought back Gundam from there as well. Some may find the English VA horrible, but I liked it, especially Domone's VA who got the emotion that was needed quite good. I've never been picky over English VA so G Gundam's worked for me. The final fight between Master Asia and Domone for the Gundam title was one of the best in the entire Gundam series, on par with the Kou Uraki vs. Anavel Gato fight in Gundam 0083 after the events at Solomon.

I also watched the movie Gundam F91 which was originally planned to be another 50 (or so) episode series but production hit a snag with staff disputes so it was made into a two hour movie that greatly condensed the plot. I could tell generally how the plot would have been if it would have been a series with similar plot points in past U.C. entries. There was something from this movie that was used in Gundam 00; "Bugs" were machines used by Iron Mask/Carozzo to eliminate the people in the colony; A-LAWS using the robots to quell any uprising. Unfortunately the scope of the movie never gets to big so the ending feels a little lack-luster because there wasn't a deep emotional connection with the cast. It would have been great if Gundam F91 was a series because it would have shown how humanity went 30 years after Char's Counterattack. It did appear that Newtypes were kind of "relics" of the past though it was only 3 decades ago. Unfortunately it never happened and in its condensed form it does suffer though it is not a bad movie - just ok.

    Main series FFs Beaten - FF: 4x, FFII: 3x, FFIII: 3x, FFIV: 3x, FFV: 3x, FFVI: 4x, FFVII: 5x, FFVIII: 5x, FFIX: 3x, FFX: 4x, FFXII: 3x, FFXIII: 2x, FFXV: 2x

Re: Last Anime You Watched 2.0

Just got done watching all of Victory Gundam. Heard some things before I watched the show, some bad (really bad), some saying a hidden gem, & a really "dark" Gundam. I'd put it a bit above ZZ but not in the elite class - it was surprisingly good. Not really that dark, but it is depressing with all the people that die. I thought some were going to make it all the way through but died in the end. A bit of a shocker. This show is one of the reasons behind "Kill em All Tomino".

Some things weren't clearly explained, some minor & one I found to be a major plot point. I do have some theories so it isn't all bad. The final battle definitely stands out from a majority of the series' final battles. A long, 9 episode final battle that truly gives off the feeling of a final confrontation.

Victory Gundam had some good villains & plenty of political maneuvering seen in the Gundam series. Uso, the main character, isn't quite "whiny" in the beginning of Victory as are some of the protagonists in the other shows. A bit different and I felt for all the trauma and sadness he went through during the 51 episodes.

    Main series FFs Beaten - FF: 4x, FFII: 3x, FFIII: 3x, FFIV: 3x, FFV: 3x, FFVI: 4x, FFVII: 5x, FFVIII: 5x, FFIX: 3x, FFX: 4x, FFXII: 3x, FFXIII: 2x, FFXV: 2x

I also quit watching 07-Ghost less than halfway through because it annoyed me. I actually read the first 5 volumes of the manga before I started watching the anime and to me, the manga was way better (from what I've read so far anyways).

I recently finished watching House of Five Leaves, which was surprisingly good despite the unique character designs.

I also suffered through Uragiri wa Boku no Namae o Shitteiru (Uraboku). The animation was nice, but the story was kind of...boring. All in all, it was frustrating to watch, especially when every character seemed to know EXACTLY when to interrupt Yuki and Luka. And then they wondered why Yuki couldn't remember his past. Give them some space! Geez!
The most interesting character was probably Luka, but sometimes he reminded me a puppy the way he always went on about Yuki. Seriously, get a grip man!

Re: Last Anime You Watched 2.0

I started watching two new ones today. First is Beelzebub, which is a brand new anime, that only just started showing in Japan. It is about a guy named Oga, who is a real tough guy. He finds a large man floating in a river, and he pulls him ashore. The man then splits in half (yes, splits in half) to reveal baby Beel, who is the son of the Demon King (and never wears a nappy, which is kind of annoying). Baby Beel grows attached to Oga, but has really been sent to the surface to destroy humanity.

Yes, I was confused as well. But it's not a bad anime. The characters are ok, while the story is quite unique I suppose. Overall, I will continue to watch it.

The second series is Charger Girl Ju-den Chan. It is about a girl named Plug, who is a Charger Girl. A charger girl is someone who literally charges people up who seem down (which is shown by Rank A-F, A being the lowest, which can mean the person in question may kill themselves). They cannot be seen, but she meets a guy called Sento, who can somehow see her.

This is a weird one. Once again, I find myself discovering a Fan service anime. This one is ok, just a bit all over the place.

    Bleach, 274
    DBZ, 231
    Dragon Ball, 33

On Bleach, Torshiro is fighting Halibel, it got ultra boring compared to DBZ

On DBZ, Buu has been re-born, and now Goten and Trunks are learning the fusion technique, but Trunks had to leave to get the Dragon Radar for finding all the Dragon Balls because Babity and Buu are going to destroy his house.

and On Dragon Ball they just finished the World Tournament, Goku lost to Jackie Chun who in reality is Master Roshi, and goku ate 475,000 Zenie (however its spelled) worth of food, almost the whole prize money that Master Roshi earned in the tournament in an amount of 500,000 Zenie.

Re: Last Anime You Watched 2.0

I'm watching one at the moment that is airing in Japan right now called Dragon Crisis!. It's about an average high school boy named Ryuji who, along with his cousin Eriko, seize a relic box. Inside the box is an unnamed girl who happens to be a dragon, but in human form. She grows very attached to Ryuji. Ryuji names her Rose because of a rose-like pattern on her hand (which is the sign that she is indeed a dragon).

I will say I am enjoying this anime a lot so far. It's interesting to say the least. It's a different kind of story, it's funny at times, and has an awesome ending song. What more could you ask for!

Sounds interesting, Just finished watching the first 5 episodes and I wouldn't call Ryuji an *average high school boy*. The anime does have me hook though, so now I'm looking up the manga but yeah It is very good in my opinion

^ Well he was to start with. I only really put that because it sort of sets the scene for those who haven't watched it. But yeah, I wouldn't either.

Does the manga have an english adaption yet?

If it's the Akira I'm thinking of, yes, it's concidered manga.

Anyway, I've recently been watching the following:
Paranoia Agent(All of 'em) I love this show, it inspired the title and avatar change. Little slugger is one of the coolest characters ever.

    Hellsing(Ovas 1-2) I think I've seen them all(up untill Andersons Paladin Armies anyway) but I'm re-watching them.

Big O(All of 'em) I like this one alot. Never could tell why...Just do. Allen was my favorite character, he reminds me of some kind of Lupin the Third badguy.

Last anime I have watched out of the very few I have seen is Sailor Moon all 200 episodes of them and one of the movies. The only animes I have seen are Yu Yu Hakusho(do not like this one at all anymore) and DB(some episodes) DBZ(all episodes) and DBGT(all episodes) and about 9 of the DBZ movies. I don't like DB series anymore either; however I love Sailor Moon obviously.

    Last Anime You Watched 2.0

Other than what Adult Swim had new episodes of on Saturday (Bleach, Kekkaishi, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood)...

I am catching up on all episodes of Bleach. The first episode I saw was #110, so I have quite a few to watch. I also am watching Sailor Moon and Pokemon (my childhood favorites).

Re: Last Anime You Watched 2.0

Street Fighter II the Animated Movie, and Witch Hunter Robin are the last two I've seen, I have yet to finish Witch Hunter Robin, though I'm kinda disappointed, it looked way more promising from what I'm seeing right now.

Street Fighter on the other hand was surprisingly good, I've heard some bad things about it so maybe my low expectations had something to do with it. Characters were spot on, some of their design in later games are clearly inspired by this movie. Typical Street Fighter story, the ending could have better though. Funny, haven't noticed Guile's USA tattoo, nor did I expect to see Chun Lee naked, which was awesome by the way =). Also, I could have sworn I saw Akuma selling vegetables in Calcutta, I rewinded it back couple of times, the guy looked exactly like him, maybe it's a small cameo, easter egg or something like that.

Salior Moon!!! I love that show....haven't seen in years though. I thoght they stopped airing Salior Moon.

I don't remember what was the last anime I saw, but I do remember watching these:
Pokemon (had Ash Catchim and another team rocket)
yu-gi-oh (the original and a few of the newer ones)
Inuyasha (sorry if I spelt it wrong...I've only seen 2 episode of it..don't know which ones though)
Naruto (again...don't remember what episodes but saw at least 3 of the original and 2 of shipendo)

I believe that was it....if there 's more I'll be sure to post again.

Re: Last Anime You Watched 2.0

    Started watching two new ones.

First is Nichijou. It's possibly the most random anime in existance. We get introduced to a lot of characters in the first episode, including an 8-year old 'Professor' and her robot Nano, which she built (where her only special features are a giant key on her back that makes her two shoot off her foot).

Obviously, as a huge Lucky Star fan, I like the random factor in this one. The characters are cute too. Overall, definitely worth watching.

The second is Deadman Wonderland, which is a bit different to Nichijou. It's a very grim story of a boy called Ganta, who's class gets killed by a red-cloaked man, and he gets something put in his chest by the man, which gives him the man's powers. Ganta is the sole survivor, and takes the blame for killing his entire class (which I didn't really get, since the news stated that there were no witnesses, therefore, no evidence). He is sentenced to death (even weirder...). Until then, he is imprisoned in Deadman Wonderland, which is basically a theme park/prison in which the inmates must put on shows for the spectator's enjoyment.

This is a very weird anime. It's good, and is very grim, but the story so far does not add up what so ever. I will keep watching to see if there is a reason revealed for why he has been sentenced to death for something that has no evidence at all, but until then, I will watch on, confused.

Personally I find it to be more like Azumanga Daiou (which you should pick up if you haven't already) but more surreal. I don't know what to say at this point, it hasn't really caught me yet but I do enjoy Mai's character.

A-Channel might be up your channel if you like stuff like Lucky Star and K-ON. It doesn't have the otaku references and has more subtle yuri but basically has that Lucky Star feel about it. I have high hopes for it personally.

Hmmm, I think the last Anime I watched was Baccano. I was on an anime spree, but last week I started watching Lost and have to finish it before going back to anime. It's so good. @_@
Baccano! is amazing, it only fails on the fact that it takes a long time to get started then suddenly it's awesome so I expect a lot of people don't give it a chance. I also here it's one of the few decent dubs but I watched the subbed version. Plus Issac and Maria.

I've been catching up on ToraDora!, up to episode 20 and it's starting to go into Clannad territory. I used to like Minorin but now shes just getting annoying (almost as much as Flay from Gundam Wing) and Taiga gets more likable with each episode as shes beyond the typical tsundere types often seen.

Also been watching Ergo Proxy which I've been meaning to for a while. So far it looks promising but I haven't seen it much praise either way.
