Ok, Acheron, a few things we got to clarify because I'm confused.

My most pressing concern is that I don't understand much about Wyatt. I thought only one of your characters was going to be part of the Pack. Is Wyatt also? Sorry, I don't get it. And if you don't mind, could we discuss the plans you have for Wyatt through PM or AIM, since you are assigning him a very important role (being employed directly to one of the three kingdoms in the east)?

My second concern would have to be Owl's age and the time you describe the barbarians raided the town. I do notice you placed a question mark over the age, so can we discuss this (again, over PM or AIM, if you don't want to reveal the secrets). Because while I did not specify, the barbarian war has certainly not being going on for 16 years.

Name and Pack alias: Kaida "Gecko" Shaw

Age: 27

Appearance/attire: Kaida is exactly 5' tall and of a petite build. She has emerald green eyes and long tawny brown hair with a dark green ribbon plaited into it to form two pigtails, which are again tied together on top of her head. She wears a forest green tunic with brown/grey leggings (which match the colour of the tree bark) and no shoes.

Ability/weapon(s): Kaida is a master of stealth and her main weapon is a bow and arrows. She has a rope dart which is mainly used for climbing, however it also comes in use if she runs out of arrows.

Background: Kaida lived with her parents until an unknown event caused their death when she was 10, while they were out getting food from the market. She was given to her uncle to look after, however he and his son abused her- making her steal, forage, and take care of the house. If things weren’t up to standard, or if either of them were bored, she was punished however they wanted, whether it was near-drowning, her skin burnt, being made to sit in the cold without any clothes, or even rape. She quickly learnt that she had to get away and evade detection, which she taught herself through trial and error. At the age of 13 she met a gentle craftsman who lived in a hut in the woods, who crafted weapons. He took care of her and taught her how to use a bow and arrow. At the age of 15 the word of Kaida’s whereabouts reached her uncle, who scouted around for the craftsman and killed him outside his home, before knocking Kaida unconscious and dragging her back home by her hair where she received later punishment. After running away again, she found her tutor’s hut and began to train her hand at archery, which led to the assassination of her uncle and cousin. After this she went into hiding in the forest and joined The Pack at the age of 17 when she met The Captain, who was observing her archery skills. Through the Pack, she felt comfort being around other people and not living in fear, and for dealing Justice to those who deserved real punishment.

- Past: Due to her projectile aim, fast reflexes and ability to keep herself well hidden, Kaida was mainly used for intelligence-seeking and assassinations.

- Present: Kaida lives a solitary life in the forest, hunting game and living with nature. She still longs for news of her Captain and The Pack.

Name and Pack Alias: Tristan 'Rhino' Eckert

Age: 26

Appearance and attire: Standing at 6'3, Rhino is a large man. He wears a hybrid armor made of both bright silver chain mail and smooth crimson scales woven together into the same material. This combination of material has proven effective in warding off most petty attacks, which works well with Rhino's primary style of combat. His gauntleted hands are made of the same material, just with smaller pieces to allow better flexibility and grip. Upon his head is a silver helm made of hard steel that leaves his face uncovered, but upon the forehead of the helm is a large horn. His eyes are a dark green and his nose is jagged, having been broken many times over in battle. The lobe of his left ear is mangled, having once had an arrow catch just enough of it to scar him. His facial hair tends to change constantly, as he often waits a week or two in between shaving it off. His black hair, usually covered under his helm, reaches down to the middle of his neck and is usually pulled back and bound.

Ability/weapon: Rhino gets his name from his preferred fighting style, which is to overpower his way through hordes of enemies. He is usually found in the middle of the excitement when a full-blown battle breaks. Although he is tall, he is not exactly massive for his size either, but he has incredible strength from swinging his weapon of choice. It is a customized War Hammer. The handle is black as night, stretching into a copper colored shaft. The head of the hammer is heavy, but on the back side instead of the continuation of a hammer it is instead a small axe (Picture half of a battle axe with half of a hammer on the other half), and he also has the shaft extend into the tip of a spear above the hammer/axe head. While the hybrid of weapons might appear unusual, it is quite deadly in the hands of Rhino, as he can break bones with the hammer, chop through limbs with the axe, and impale men on the spear all with the same weapon by slightly adjusting how he uses the weapon. He has also been rumored to impale men on the horn of his helmet on occasion.

Background: Growing up, Tristan was always one of the taller men in town. His quiet nature, in combination with his size, made him a target for constant ridicule by the more "average" kids. Their taunting and teasing was often ignored, but one day a gang of kids decided to strike him, breaking his nose for the first time. With blood dripping onto the ground and hot tears blurring his vision, Tristan went berserk and took down the entire group with his bare hands. Many others later joked about the incident later, saying he trampled them like a rhino. From that day on, he secretly began honing his strength. Despite his showing that day, he was still ridiculed constantly, they just made sure not to ever make the mistake of physically provoking Tristan. Once he got older, Tristan decided to leave the town, searching for somewhere that he would be accepted. He spent time making a living as an apprentice to a blacksmith, using his strength to shape and forge weapons and armor. One day a barbarian horde attacked and Tristan grabbed the nearest weapon, a war hammer, and helped to defend the village. During the battle, the blacksmith was slain by a stray arrow that pierced his chest. Tristan struck back with unrivaled fury, taking down waves of barbarians. His feats that day did not go unnoticed, and soon he was contacted by The Pack. Faced with a choice, Tristan opted to travel and ward off Barbarians to help defend those less capable of defending themselves. Little did he know at the time that The Pack would be so much more than that.

Past: Tristan was able to hone his skills, both in battle and in smithing, within the Pack. His size and strength were key to the success of many battles, and his being able to not only forge a new weapon or armor for the Pack, but also to repair any damaged armor, proved invaluable. As time went on, Tristan modified his War Hammer into the hybrid you will find him carrying today.

Present: Tristan lives off in a small town as a blacksmith, making his living and a new reputation as a man who can forge or fix anything. All three kingdoms have had use for his talents since that fateful day, yet a part of him yearns for the thrill of battle with his old companions in The Pack.

Name and Pack alias: Hayden “Wolf” Quinn

Age: 20

Appearance/attire: Hayden has breast length hair shaded a dark brown nearly black. Her slender pale face is always set on whatever is happening around her. Forever aware.
Her large, expressive eyes are a liquid green that contrast against her dark hair; Hayden’s body though muscular and quick is very small. Her legs are long and slender along with the rest of her, though this is nothing to be taken too lightly Hayden is anything but a fragile little girl. Her many years of extreme hunting and training with the bow has left her with a strong upper body and nimble hands.
Hayden wears a long light brown tunic and black leggings. Also wearing a dark brown cloak around her body with a hood for when the cold air chills her body. Her shoes are dark colored boots, nothing special.

Ability/weapon(s): A strong recurve bow with a leather wrapping along with a metal center. Nearest the arrow plate there is wolfs pelt hanging decoratively in honor of her pack name. Her quiver also has a small amount of fur around the opening.

Background:

-Past: Hayden grew up in an old village in the mountains where human and animal alike were connected and understood the balance. She would awaken to the thick white fog that coated the tree covered hills making shadows, ghost trees. The scent of dew fresh, filling the wolves paws prints that she so carefully followed each morning. Her village enjoyed the wolves company and left what was left of their meals outside for them to have. Hayden searched for them, following the old pack up high into the mountains all the way till she was out range of any human life what so ever; though she was never afraid. Her friends called her wolf girl sometimes or puppy if they were trying to be rude but it never became a permanent nickname for quite a while.
Hayden decided that she would one day find the pack and hunt with them, though she was only a young girl at the time her determination forced her father to teach her to hunt. He took her into the woods and they waited finally they found a deer and with one quick pull of his bow the deer went down. It was a perfect shot right through the heart that knocked it down in a heartbeat. So he taught her the way of the bow telling her it was the noblest way to hunt, live and kill. Though he never thought she would actually take his words so literally.
When she grew a little older she took to the road leaving her loving family and yet to be seen wolf family as well to go to Precia. She went from inn to inn with the money she’d saved, doing odd jobs like going hunting for people, selling game and furs things that were natural to her from birth. Then while out hunting she came upon a house that was on fire, she started over to help when she saw two men running out of the house, bundles in their hands. Then a third man came out with a woman behind him, pulling her slowly by her hand. She was screaming so loud and Hayden automatically knew what was going on, without thinking straight she ripped an arrow from her quiver and shot out at the man holding the woman. Hayden turned to the side to pull out another arrow, the fire making her pale skin glow a brilliant orange as she went to fire again and hit the other man in the thigh. The other got away but she didn’t really care, she’d never felt so alive in her life. Though she felt a little bad for taking a life she did appreciate becoming friends with the woman who she saved, her husband had been murdered in the raid but she had made it known that Hayden had saved her. Though she wasn’t too keen on her name being so widely tossed around she learned not to care. After that incident died down she decided she couldn’t go without that rush any longer and finally took on her first assassination job. She did it well and finally it became a normal thing though she kept it out of her letters when she wrote to her father.
Later she met Raven from an employer who knew her for some time Hayden learned about the Pack and found it oddly ironic and she weighed her options. Live in Inns and do her random hits and hunting jobs or join something that would make her really worthwhile. She picked the Pack and proudly took the name of the village animal she loved so much. Wolf, for her stealth, teamwork and love for the animal.

-Present:
Hayden moved back to the wilderness of her home but still wrote to her friend in Precia. Hayden finally found the Wolf Pack she looked so heavily for and became a constant pack mate with them. She quickly grew bored with life and wasted her time during the day teaching the village children archery and the way of hunting properly. Protecting the animals in the forest from traveling trophy hunters. Though when they come to close to the precious village wolves she get the opportunity to fire an arrow right through their skulls. Hayden longs for the day when just maybe the pack will reunite though she is negative about it.

Name and Pack alias: Mandla "Elephant" Dlamini

Age: 34

Appearance/attire: Elephant stands at almost 6'5" tall,, weighs perhaps 195 lbs., is incredibly muscular, and has chocolate colored skin. His eyes are a strange light-brown color, almost amber. His entire body is sheathed in an astounding amount of scars, and indeed a number of them look as if they would have killed a lesser man. His skin is also inked with a fair amount of tattoos, and these, combined with his height and scars, make him very intimidating to look at. He wears his hair in dreadlocks that reach down past his shoulder blades, and has grown a thick beard. He does not wear anything above his waist, besides metal arm guards on each arm and several golden studs and rings on his left ear. Below the waist, he wears blackened leather greaves, soft leather boots, and a crimson sash tied about his middle. He also has a thick leather belt where he keeps pouches for his belongings and a sheath for his knife.

Ability/weapon(s): Elephant is a master of hand-to-hand combat. He's surprisingly agile for his age and size, and he can take a lot of punishment. He works miracles with his knife, somehow finding ways to take out heavily armored foes with a mixture of improvisation and sheer strength. His knife is almost 2' in length, as long as a short sword, with black leather covering the handle and a blue-steel blade.

Background:
- Past: Elephants past is traumatic and bloody, his entire existence just one conflict to the next. He was born in a slum in Prima, his mother a broken, lost woman from a far distant land. He grew up in poverty, constantly fearing death and disease, and is to this day slightly paranoid from it. He never talks about those years, though rumors paint it as perhaps the darkest period of his life.
He eventually joined the Prima Military at the age of 17. He was a furious youth, and it was as if his every motion was influenced by some inner rage. At the age of 19, he fought in his first battle, a disastrous skirmish with barbarians that left only a handful of soldiers alive. Elephant not only managed to survive the battle, he excelled in it. Many barbarians were left dead on the battlefield that day, their blood spilled by Elephant's blade. He spent the next 10 years in the heat of combat, becoming ever more skilled in the art of killing.
His skill was noted, and he was offered a position as a member of the pack, the alias "Elephant" given to him due to his immense size. The 5 years he spent with the Pack changed him somehow. His blood lust was somewhat quenched, and he started trying to better himself through learning. He eventually learned to read, and spent a large amount of his salary on books and scrolls. His explosive fury was slowly being replaced with a cold, calculating anger. He eventually even befriended Shark, though the term "Friends" is used very loosely. The battle on the bridge nearly took Elephants life, and would have, were it not for Shark. They traveled together for a time, then went their separate ways.

- Present: The collapse of the unit changed Elephants demeanor even more. His anger is almost completely gone, replaced with the regret gained from a lifetime of death and destruction. He spends nearly all of his free time reading now, and often wonders how things could have been if he were born with a different lot in life. He has moved to Precia and took to the life of a mercenary, since that is all he knows. Currently, he is the bodyguard for an important figure in the Precian Government.

Name and Pack alias: Azure "Shark" Ceravedra

Age: 21

Appearance/attire: Black spiky hair, tan skin with cerulean eyes. Azure combines samurai armor, without the helm, with metal greaves and a severely torn robe that covers his entire body. A lengthy scarf is wrapped around his neck. Mildly built body, but just enough to fight.

Ability/weapon(s): Japanese Katana. (Azure recieved one as a gift from a legendary swordsmith who has heard of his story. The shark tooth is attached at the end of hilt of the katana.)

Resourceful, uses the environment to help in battle, skilled at swordsmanship, and knowledge of the sea and medicine.

Background:
- Past: Lived outside the mainland and spent most of his life in civilizations created on numerous chains of islands. His father was a fisherman, sailor, and a physician. Azure's mother served as a nurse and his father's assistant. His name was given to commemorate the color of the ocean and the sky. Over time, he continues to absorb his mother's benevolence and his father's knowledge on the sea and medicine. Azure is intelligent, resourceful, observant, and at times, brave, when overcoming difficult trials.

As he advanced into adulthood, he became a skilled physician as well as a seafarer due to his numerous journeys on ship. He sets out on his own to find adventure and to get away from his homeland, but proved unsuccessful due to inexperience on survival and depending on oneself.

His chance on "true" adventure fell unto his hands, but came with a price. Pirates raided his homeland and destroyed everything Azure held dear to him. He and his parents were kidnapped, but were soon separated when his parents transferred to another ship. Azure has not heard from them ever since the fleet of pirates sailed on different paths. The leader of the group of pirates were lenient towards him because of his usefulness. He refused to help them and was forced to 'walk the plank.'

"I'd rather serve the sea, than the likes of you," Azure retorted. He was pushed into the sea only to encounter a great white shark. He was in a bind and did not think he would see the creature so soon. Azure bravely fought for his life and luckily escaped death by attacking the shark by the nose and its gills. He obtained a broken shark's tooth from a wound on his left shoulder. The tooth and the wound were symbols of his battle against the sea creature, thus earning the name "Shark" among the pirates.

He likes to mix his clothing and armor together that he gets from different lands.

He searched for the Pack, already having the name of an animal, to see if he could gain assistance to find his missing family. The Pack was created for greater things than what Azure hoped to accomplish, so instead, he took the mission upon himself as he traveled with them. He worked constantly to heal the wounds of his comrades as well as provide backup with his swordsmanship.

He has no definite fight style, often mixing different techniques with swift, unrefined movements.

He sees the Pack as a family and his relationships are often fluctuating from good to bad, worse to better with his companions. "That's life," Azure repeats to himself. He respects everyone equally. He met Elephant when the Pack were fighting barbarians on the battlefield and saved him once. Soon after, they became friends, but separated as time passed.

- Present: He moved to Prima to start a new life now that the Pack disbanded. While missing his homeland and family, he works as a physician and sells fish that he acquires for extra money.

xD I had to do a little research in order to make my character profile make sense and relate to the setting in this RP.

The katana originated in the Muromachi period (1392–1573). The Medieval period began around 300 AD through 1450 AD, so I can safely assume that the weapon existed during that time period. I am pretty sure that pirates existed for a while, although, this is only from my limited knowledge on it.

Anyways, I didn't intend for pirates to hold any significance concerning the Pack other than to explain my character's background.

What Shark was mostly fighting for did not parallel to the rest of the Pack's motives whether they helped him or not since the main enemy consist of barbarians.

I'm probably not gonna make any sense if I keep going considering that I did the post late at night yesterday. The RP has the Fire Emblem feeling, haha.

Oh, and regarding the pirates, we couldn't call it a complete medieval setting without them. While they aren't as big as a threat as barbarians are, they are a nasty bunch and every once in a while pull off stunts like the one aforementioned.

I added scenarios for most characters. The only ones I haven't are Rhino and Wolf. However, as I mentioned before, don't let this stop any of you two from posting. I will try to give you a starting point eventually, but if you already have material for posting, go ahead.

I know we have christmas soon, and some of you might be busy because of that, but would those that signed up and haven't posted yet at least bother to post in the OOC so that I can know who still wants to participate? Thanks.
