Any ways Slim if you just want to fight just to do it. I need to work on my RPB skill and get some training in. I would have to us Master Link from the fight with Shelus. He is the only one ready at this time but if not that’s okay.

Okay, sounds excellent. I have an idea though, because the way Shelus and Dark One's battle ended is still bothering me. It's open-endedness that is. Perhaps you could write up a little introduction explaining how Shelus left the battle and how Dark One was accepted, then you could explain the part I play in all of this, and introduce us into a battle.

Anyway, however you wish to do it is good with me, I'd be glad to face off against Dark One.

Slim- I do not know your details and stats so if you could please point me to them.

Due to events beyond our control, this test must be suspended.

The Godhand has convined. Dark One, we will let you join The Masters as a Novice. However, there are three conditions.

1.) We require you to create a new, more original character.
2.) We require you to learn how to use "quote" marks to mark speech seperate from thought and action.
3.) We require you to report in one weeks time to the Grand Master for intensive training.

That is all.

Anomaly- I will be posting a new person by the end of the day. I'm hoping ! I have the whole day and night to type it up. Also well I have to fight in one week if I'm fighting slim still. I can do it but It well go very slow.

Waarne Gharough flies along in an airship, with an expression of determination across his face.

No he had not purchased an airship of his own, but simply was given the favour of riding in one by a kindly fellow. Kindly, especially, after the 2 000 gold that was given to him to help 'convice' him to deliver Waarne to his requested destination.

The clouds break, and directly in the airships path floated the Masters floating fortress.

"We have arrived, pilot!" names were never a formailty to Waarne, especially on such short term relationships. "Now fly me in closer and I shall bid you farewell."

"Will do," replies the pilot in a very southernlike accent.

The airship honed in on the platform of land on which the fortress floated, and pulled up a mere six feet from it.

"Thank you friend, for your assistance. Have a safe flight home." And at that, Waarne leaped from the ship, landing on the land, a comfortable foot and a half from the edge.

However, the ground began to shake under his feet, and he could tell it was going to give way. It seemed as though he had landed on poorly supported spot of land. There was no time to react, before he was plummeting to his death.

A streak of brown and white feathers dart directly through Waarne's path, and Waarne's fall ceased. He was now soaring in a horizontal direction, clasped in the talons of an enormous eagle.

The eagle mounts itself on a stronger portion of the fortresses base, and releases Waarne from its grasp. A voice calls to him as a cloaked figure climbs down from the birds back.

"That was a close one stranger. You wouldn't have survived a fall from a height such as this." The cloaked man speaks, his forked tongue spitting out from his scaled beak every so often. "I didn't just save the life of a Master did I? If that was the case, I'm sure you could escort me to Anomaly?" The man asks hopefully.

"Perhaps I could, if I was indeed of The Masters. However, I am simply here in hopes of finding a specific someone," Waarne says with a tone of sadness in his voice. Clearly he had been searching for this person a long time.

"Well, we share that specific goal, my friend. May we travel together, so as not to get lost alone in such a place?"

"You, however, search for a being by the name of Anomaly, whilst I am searching for Cordienne Groulx, my brother."

"Hahah!" A look of surprise and happiness now shone across the cloaked man's face. "Perhaps we share much more in common than we know! I too search for a man by that name!"

"You know of him!? How!?"

"I trained him in the art of combat when he was a young boy, and I heard that now he has become a pupil of the great Anomaly, and a member of the Masters! See, The Masters are a very highly respected group of combatants and I wanted to congratulate him. I also thought it might be good to see Cordienne, finally developed into a full grown man. It's been quite a long time since he has left me."

"Well then, if Anomaly is his Master, then I suppose he will know where Cordienne is," says Waarne, now feeling much more confident, knowing he is so close to his brother.

"Precisely. And, by the way, my name is Drake Atakoh, it's a pleasure to meet the great Waarne Gharough."

"How do you know my name?" asks Waarne, almost worriedly.

"Your brother spoke very highly of you. It must have killed him to leave you those many years ago."

At that, they continued on, silently, into the fortress, leaving the eagle to do as he wished. Upon entering the front doors they were greeted by a strange feeling. It felt as though someone was watching them, very closely.

"Do not worry. Allow me to do the talking and there should be no problems." Drake whispers to Waarne in a very confident tone.

"ANOMALY! WE HUMBLY REQUEST ENTRANCE INTO THE FORTRESS! YOU MAY NOT KNOW OF ME, HOWEVER I KNOW VERY WELL OF YOU! SHOULD YOU DECIDE TO DISALLOW US TEMPORARY ENTRANCE, I SHALL REQUEST THAT YOU DUEL US, WITH ONE OTHER OF YOUR CHOICE, IN A TWO-ON-TWO ENTRY BATTLE INTO THE MASTERS, SO THAT WE MAY BE FREE TO WALK THE HALLS OF YOUR FORTRESS, AND FIND WHO IT IS WE ARE SEARCHING FOR!" Drake shouts into the foyer, his voice echoing off the walls of the building.

"What? Wouldn't you think to ask for my consent before throwing me into battle with someone, much less two people, powerful enough to be a member of The Masters!"

"Evidently not. But stop worrying yourself, you're a big boy, and I'll be fighting with you. Oh, and by the way, Anomaly is the MASTER of The Masters. Get ready to have some fun."

Okay, so this is considered my attempt at asking you, Anomaly, for an entry battle between you and myself, for my characters Waarne and Drake. I will require that you battle me using Anomaly and one other so as to make things a little more interesting (2 on 2). I'll bet no one's ever tried something like this before, eh? Hahah, I hope you'll accept.

Though if you want to fight me again, I've no problem facing an opponent that has two characters at their disposal, but any character you deem fit to use within The Masters is acceptable.

Oh yeah, I knew that already. Sorry, what I meant by that was I'd just like to make it official. Like for stories sake. Instead of just saying, 'yeah, they're here now,' I want to have a legitimate storyline behind all of my characters. Hahah, and yes, that means I wish to 2-on-2 duel you .

Actually, Anomaly, a thought just crossed my mind. As you know, I was looking for a rank up earlier, and my hopes for that were shot down miserably. Hahah... Maybe a little too much drama in that sentence but you know what I mean. Anyways, I was thinking maybe our two-on-two battle could also constitute a rank-up for me. I mean, obviously there is little chance of me emerging victorious, however, just in case... It would actually give me more drive, you know what I mean? Instead of just battling for story's sake I'd be able to come out of it with a little extra as well. Of course, my characters being accepted DOES NOT necessarily have to mean that I get a rank-up. Just a suggestion.

To Anomaly and Slim: I look forward to reading your thread. It will, essentially, be a preview of what people can expect to be doing in the next Tournament of Arms. When the end of the month rolls around, don't be surprised if I'm back in that information thread linking to your battle. I hope the two of you really put a lot of effort into it and make a tournament-calibur battle out of it. While I'm not suddenly suggesting you stop having fun with it and make it into some overly serious thing, I am interested all the same to see what you can come up with.

It will be an excellent example, as well as give some of the newer writers an idea of just what kind of competition they'll be up against.

Yes, I'm back. Well, not exactly back, it's more of a case of the uni network working properly, and me not having any research/assignments to do. I'm sorry I have been somewhat absent over the last couple of months. In other news, 'BD' and I *finally* finished a battle the other day. After literally years of battles lasting only a few posts, either because one of us couldn't get online to finish it, or the forums vanishing... Well, we finally did it. Yokatta.

Other than that, I'm feeling a little restless. Anyone care for a short sparring session? Or a rank-battle perhaps...

Actually, not sure if I'm allowed/supposed to reveal it, but Anomaly has an RP in the works right now, a horror based one (think 'Mad Jack's' handiwork, for those of you that know what I mean) but I don't know how serious he is about it or when he might actually post it up. I was tempted to polish that FFIX-2 RP of mine up and post it here, but, eh, not sure it'd work. That, and someone dragged me into a fight so that kind of ties me up for now.

But you will be pleased that I AM in the planning phase for a Masters Sponsered story RP for this Halloween. Sorry it won't be fantasy based, but oyu may be pleased ot learn it will instead be horror based...based off a classic horror movie in fact. (well, the original had Vincent Price anyways, which is classic enough for me)

Heh, no need for an apology. I am glad to see, however, that I was right about the initial premise of the thread prior to you changing your mind about the setup. I was starting to think I had gone crazy. All the same, I probably will still use your thread as an example and say something more intelligent than what's about to come out though still to the tune of: "In rounds One and Four, you will be doing what Slim is doing, taking on both characters at once in a single post."

The only possible issue I could see using your thread as an example is that it's not necessarily a "perfect" example of a 2v2 with only two writers. Ideally, both characters would attack in every post. There would be a part one with an attack phase and a "meanwhile..." part two with an attack phase. And of course, in the case of a team attack, it would all be one flowing phase...


...but I digress. Once again I'm talking about the TOA in your thread, and for that, I apologize. I just happened to be brainstorming and got carried away. Plus, at least it's here for me to look back on now in case I forget.

And as for your RP, a horror one would be interesting, even more so if it were based on something much like Saw. I am very partial to gory movies. *Laughs*

And when I mentioned starting a fantasy RP, what I really had in mind was something original. Not that they may be bad, but I rather detest RPs based on anime or games...but that might be because of how appalling Gaia was to me with that sort of thing.
