Can't ypu target the ex cores like the first one?

I don't know if you can in RPG mode, but RPG mode is wierd anyways.

Also, Seph is still an anti chaos machine, and you STILL an't save replays of Chaos =(

Had a near perfect against a lv 100 Chaos (he did manage to clip me with the explosions on his fireball things, but that's the only hit he landed), when I only had lv 60 gear, woulda been nice to post on youtube. Hopefully I'll at least be able to save a Feral Chaos battle when I get around to doing it.

What are some of your set ups for extra and basic abilities for Seph? In fact for whoever you main...I haven't really got to the point yet where I have a specific main but am kinda curious.

Free air dash and ground dash, air and ground block (honestly not sure why, I hardly ever block) and dodge, speed, jump, and jump times boost ++, rest of my spare CP is prety much invested in critical boosters. For Seph, counterattack is almost a nescessity, since he was pretty much made to interupt attacks. I use EX critical boost, first strike, and I think one other... none of the stuff that requires me to be in a bad position, since for the most part I avoid ever getting into them. Main thing you have to be good with to be an effective Seph user is timing. With bad timing, Seph plays just like anybody else with no brv-hp chains, putting him at a slight disadvantage. With GOOD timing, you can pretty much exploit anything that even resembles an opening and interupt alot of attacks that you really shouldn't be able to, and pretty much control any fight you get into. He's a bit lacking in the combo department in D12, which still really pisses me off, since he had such epic comboability in D13, but I'm adapting I guess. I'll probably start uploading crap to youtube once I get back to where I was in D13, which may take a while yet.

It may seem odd, but I've been maining Gilgamesh as of late. He's an interesting character. I'm happy that they finally got to put him in. Story for him kind of sucks. Wish they would have added a bit more to it. But it's fun playing as him. He's a bit crazy since he switches out weapons in each attack. You sometimes get the Excalipoor sword... doing 1 HP or 1 BRV damage. But he's fun. Worth a try. Have yet to try Prishe. Know she's a pain in the arse to do battle against. Hope they add characters soon. Also, in case no one has seen it; Warrior of Light has a new costume on PSN. Basically just without the helmet.

I'm curious if anyone has tried maining Quina. You know? Dashing around with a big fork-trident as your ultimate blue mage? Eating all the food in the palace...

Ha! if only Quina had been included. Hopefully, they will have some DLC characters and not just outfits soon. Could you imagine? Quina eating Feral Chaos? lmao. by the way... someone posted a video that seemed cool.

That is what I had in mind, other than maybe eating ex cores. That would have been cool; going around and coping abilities. Someone online even tried starting a campaign wanting Quina included. Here's another cool vid on the game:

Anyone else really annoyed by the fact that even if you have completed the original Dissidia's campaigns you have to play them all again after the new characters stories?

I think that's awesome, that means people can trade in their old copies of the games.

It's certainly good for newcomers, but drag to us who already went through story of original Dissidia, which by the way isn't exactly crème de la crème.

Some of you guys are already miles ahead of me, I've just gone through Cloud's story, guess I'm taking my time with this one. I've bought every villain available by now, huge amount of icons, and Kefka's encounter voice which as in previous Dissidia is legen...wait for it...dary.

I personally don't mind that the original story is included, because the story after that in Duodecim counts as a sequel as well. It doesn't really end with the 013 story, so I don't think it's a big deal. The series truly ends with

FInally unlocked Gilgamesh and Prishe, Gilgamesh is a bit too random for my taste, not somebody I can se myself using outside of the occasional random fight for shits and giggles. Prishe however is ****in sweet. I love how fast her moves are. Soon as I got her, played one test round against Gilgamesh, loved what I saw, so I tried her out on Chaos. Seriously, the only times Chaos was even able to move was when he used an attack that starts by teleporting, outside of that, I was bouncing his face off of walls pretty much the entire time. I definitely think I can get to like Prishe.

If it were prishe instead of Lightning, do you think you would have a better chance at feral?

Maybe, maybe not, Feral is a whole different game, but as far as level 1 abilities go, Prishe is alot better than Lightning, I'd at least be winning to spend a day or two trying.

I'm kinda takin my time as well Xan. Actually I just got through Cloud's as well, kinda lamenting the thought of replaying all of D1's story again, but I'm assuming I need to to get the exclusive weapons.

On that note, I'm really not liking equipment in this one as much, everythings either lv 1, 30, 60, 90, or 100. And most besides one is overpriced or taking amterials I'm not finding. I've ended up just farming gear off lv 100s with Seph, since I can kill people with him even without level appropriate gear (as in I'm using level 1 shit to fight 100s set to high (equipment)). I was all excited and shit when I got Gae Bolg as a component drop for the Gungnir Gilgamesh was using, only to learn Seph can't use spears in this one. So I'm still killing 100s with an Uchigatana... slowly.

Count me as another who's taking thier time with this one. I'm still playing Yuna's story, and I have a question concerning some of the audio. In the scene when Yuna is talking to

I just encountered this problem, and was wondering if anyone else has too? Maybe it's just my PSP or something... :/

Might be your disc or something, I didn't notice anything unusual about thw audio at that point, but it's possible I just wasn't paying very close attention.

In other news, lv 1 Prishe vs 100 Chaos almost succesful lmfao. Had him about halfway down in phase 3, then he hit Scarlet Rain, I always have issues avoiding that one, got nailed, he broke and killed me just with that piece of crap >.< Outside of hardcore spamming in phase 3, Chaos is so predictable, he just keeps eating brv attacks as soon as he pries himself off the wall from the last one, with a sufficiently fast character, he's seriously a joke. I really hope Feral is a bit less pathetic. But based on some things I've read, like people's 'strategy' consiting of spamming Lord of Arms to beat him, I'm guessing he's an idiot too.

Well, completed Cycle 13. Going thru Chapter 000 now. Anyone figure out how to beat a level 95 Feral Chaos yet? lol. My level 6 Gilgamesh did a bit of constant destruction, but even my high level characters are having issues. He has 50,000 HP. & more moves than the lvl 130. slaughtered old chaos with Warrior of Light. Guessing I need better items.

I believe Prishe was unlocked in a report too... with Gilgamesh.

I belive it's report 8. (Read it on Wiki)

So I just got this game yeseterday and Laguna is a beast and is already my new main. Thankfully, I was able to transfer my Prologus data and all my lvl 100 characters to DD. Still though, I couldn't keep the equipment and that kinda stinks...at least now I won't have to go through the tourment of training Ultemicia to level 100 again. *ugh*

I also like playing as Vann alot! He's a beast and I really want to beef him up quicker, I think I'm going to use all my chocobo colonges on him, I really want his musket techniqe. Thought it was hummorous how the crossbow RULES on this game but in generall they phail(fail with a ph) on FFXII.

Awesome game so far, I'll post next to rave about Gilgamesh when I unlock him, but that'll be awhile...

Equipment is big. Skill is sufficient, but the longer you have to spend to rack up damage, and the more you take each time you get hit, the longer you're gonna have to be in a small arena with the bastard, and the bigger role luck is going to play.

Old Chaos actually seems to be easier now, his moves all seem to be easier to interupt now.

And yes, report 8, unlocks both her and Gilgamesh.

    Re: Dissidia Duodecim Announced

Found another forum that posts up Player Cards & Quest Cards. Why not do that here too? I think we should be able to. I'll give it a try once I get my files sorted out.

Update: The thread for Friend & Quest Cards is Up.

Even while spamming you can still get hit. And if he hits, he usually releases his Ex Mode. He's a pain in the arse. The old Chaos was easier this time around, but a level 130 with at leaste 125,000 HP, to me was a good challenge. I had fun with him. Now I'm leveling him up as he becomes a playable character when you beat him in the last match on 000.

And if you guys are interested in getting extra friend cards, and you don't have AdHoc Party for PS3, check out the Friend Cards thread I posted. Only have mine on there right now, but feel free to put yours up and add mine as a challenge. I'll be changing my Friend Card, as I am maining Gilgamesh now. Leveled him to 62 so far. Can't wait to see what he's like at 100 in my full control.

I guess I'd stop in and mention that I have unlocked both Gilgamesh and Prishe but the fact is, I don't like playing as Gilgamesh that much...his attacks just seem lacking. I guess it's because he's low level but still, I don't like him that much.

Prishe is like an actually fun version of Tifa so I loved playing as her. I have a feeling that she will learn some devastating combos after a little leveling.

Laguna still main, never gonna stop playing as him.

Laguna does rock. A buddy of mine is maining him too. Can't wait to try fighting someone using him. But as usual, everyone uses Cloud.

And yeah, Gilgamesh is made for just a set group of people. I have fun with his randomness. He may draw Excalipoor most of the time, but i find him to be fun to use. You do get more abilities later on, I'm barely at 70, but almost there. Should try my level 62 one in my Friend Cards section.

He's actually got decent moves, I just don't like the randomness of the range, never fun to whiff a move just because he decided to whip out the shortest weapon he could get his hands on.

I don't know. I still have a lot of fun with him. Got him up to Level 100 now and took out a level 128 Cloud. Took me awhile to beat him, but I had fun.

How's everyone else feeling about the new Dissidia? Practically a remake, but it does give a little more to what we wanted.

I haven't got to use Gilgamesh yet. I have him unlocked and stuff, just haven't used him in battle. Been playing the story mode and trying my hand with the labyrinth challenge thing. I like the story in Duodecim a lot more than in Dissidia. It's simple, yeah, but not as predictable and cliched as from the first game. Also, Yuna and Vaan are so much fun to play. I haven't got any of my characters to max level yet though.
