Guluf died when fighting Exdeath (FFV)
Oh, and Telluh died when fighting Golbez (FFIV)

I think Aeris count as a main player who dies!

A: Strago Magus, Quistis Trepe, Quina Quen and Kimahri Ronso is all i think.

Maria and Leon are related Sister/Brother, I tthink Firion is related to them in some way.
Palom and Parom are related (Brother and Sister) and Cecil and Golbez are related by blood (brothers)
Lenna and Faris are related (Sisters), Krile is Guluf's Granddaugther
I'm sure Shadow and Relm are related some way, Sabin and Edgar (Brothers)
Zidane is related to Kuja via Genome via Garland (lol)
Yuna and Rikku are related (Cousins)

Garland from I.
Leon from II.
If he's a main character, Xande from III>
Golbez from IV.
Maybe Exdeath from V.
Shadow from VI.
Cloud from VII(At the start).
Squall from VIII(Same as Cloud).
Not sure from IX.
Tidus(He's sort of both ways.) from X.
Vaan from XII(He even said he was just along for the ride and to avenge his brother, so he was only with the party for personal means.)

Final Fantasy I- No one that I can think of. Did they even talk at all?

Final Fantasy II-No one I can think of either.
Final Fantasy IV- Polom and Porom. I remember they had this upbeat attitude when they were with Cecil in one part of the game.
Final Fantasy V- Faris sorta had an upbeat attitude with her humor. Bartz seemed to a little bit as well.
Final Fantasy VI- Haha. GAU!!
Final Fantasy VII- Yuffie and Cait Sith even though both were extremely annoying.
Final Fantasy VIII- Zell and Selphie
Final Fantasy IX- Zidane, Quina, and Eiko
Final Fantasy X- Tidus and Rikku
Final Fantasy X-2- Yuna grew out of her good-girl personality and seemed more out going in this game. And of course, Rikku. And if we're talking NPC's, creepy Brother too.
Final Fantasy XII- This game gave off this serious tone, but I would have to say Balthier.

I guess it's more personal opinion on my answers. If anyone feels that I'm wrong or am missing someone, feel free to correct.

Well, I don't know everything, but I'll tell you what I know...

In FF VII, Cloud learns, or he remembers, that he's been assuming the role of his friend Zack Fair, and hid the fact that he never made it to SOLDIER. He was told he was a genetic clone of Sephiroth, in which Tifa had to help snap him out of it.

In FF X, Tidus learns that he is a dream of the Fayth, and if he and his father Jecht stop the dreaming, the fayth can rest again. However, if Tidus does end the dreaming, he fears he will disappear, and he did at the end of the game. However, he did return in X-2 if certain conditions were met.

FFII: It gives your characters advantages in battle (through I forgot what it does exactly lol)
FFVIII: With Aura enabled your characters can use their limit breaks even at full health.

EDIT: I forgot FFIX lol. Amarant's Aura ability casts Auto-Life and Regen on one party member.

In 2006, Final Fantasy III(the original) was released for the DS. Also, Final Fantasy V came to the Gameboy. Finally, Final Fantasy XII came near the end of the year. In 2007, Final Fantasy VI came to the Gameboy, and Final Fantasy I & II came to the PSP for the Anniversary. Fina Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions came to the PSP. Near the end of the year, Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings for the DS was released(I think.) In 2008, Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core was released for the PSP. Final Fantasy IV DS came recently and Final Fantasy Tactics A2 came for the DS. That's all I can think of...
