Hmm... it's been over a week since anyone's posted anything. I think I'll give this club a boost.

I totally started playing Super Mario RPG again this weekend. I don't know why I hadn't sooner; it's such a great game. I've been playing it differently than other times I've gone through it, however; for example, I haven't used Geno much at all. I replaced him with Bowser, and then replaced Mallow with the Princess (who I never used before, much at all.)

I think it's probably because I would always go for all out brute strength, and Geno has stronger attacks than the Princess. However, this time around I've been using the Princess's healing powers. I always just used to use countless pick-me-ups in the past. Someone fainted, they got picked up. The Princess's "Group Hug," "Therapy," and "Come Back" work quite nicely, though.

I've also noticed that certain enemy attacks are a lot stronger than I remember them being. Like, starting in the Forest Maze, the enemies really started to take it to my characters with some attacks. I think It's because I've been solely focusing on my characters' physical attack and defense points, and not their special attack and defense each time they level up. Anyhoo...

I also beat Super Mario 3 this weekend, I think for the first time. That's pretty messed up. I also don't think I've ever beaten the original Super Mario Brothers either. I was playing that, got to World 5, and couldn't get further because I suck bad. Heh...

So yeah. I've been revisiting my "roots," so to speak. Getting back to Monster Town in Super Mario RPG reminds me of Middle School, when I first played that game. I dunno why it specifically does that for me, and not any of the other places, but *shrug* Anyhoo...
