I have had the Shotgun for ages but never used it to conserve bullets, its a beast! Although I have the rifle I haven't used it yet.
Anyway I didn't find the hospital to be that hard, the only thing I used the walkthru for was
Spoiler: When you go in the elevator and they ask you those Questions, I think I knew them but I forgot what the Questions are, this is probably why I have soo much ammo
