I have modified your post slightly to make it clearer for people reading this to know what I'm answering.Originally Posted by Usagy

Last General Election the Conservatives decided to take a hard stand against immigration and also acted against increased university tuition fees*. Personally, I think they forgot what kind of party they were supposed to be last time round. The British National Party has been tempting Labour voters because of their "strong" stance on immigration into the UK and for foreigners living in the UK too. They have a policy called "voluntary relocation" (or something similar) where they pay you to leave the country if you're not white. Most mainstream ministers talk of multi-cultural diversity and an end to racism. You know, the usual.
2. It depends where you go, of course. Some areas are quite accepting but in many inner city areas with a high percentage of household poverty there is apparently much anger. Primarily because poor white families are losing out in terms of housing and benefits to immigrants who get priority for some reason or another. It's mainly these people, who traditionally vote Labour, to be tempted to vote BNP. Otherwise, there probably is some racism, at least subconciously, in the country like there is in most places around the world.
3. You get newspapers such as the Daily Mail who like to run articles saying: "200,000 missing immigrants" and talk about what a shoddy job the government does of keeping track of immigrants and not deporting illegal immigrants. Obviously set out to anger their readers and re-enforce their beliefs that the border should be tightened up. Many people are unhappy with immigrants coming into the country "leeching off the state" while running black market operations. There have been a few stories in the national media recently about illegal immigrants who have committed various crimes like fraud, sex trafficking and rape etc. This also serves to anger people.
4. Define stuff in this context, please.
*I support increased tuition fees.
