As for everybody voting on stuff in chatrooms... obviously it wasn't everybody because I've never heard of any chat discussions.

I happen to have a dual-role and you just have to realize that..

Member Viewpoint: I have a busy schedule and don't like being left out of discussions over important issues because they are on AIM instead of in this forum. It isn't fair to us who happen to have a time-scrunch lifestyle to be secluded in an empty forum while everyone else is talking elsewhere.

Admin Viewpoint: If you're going to have all your discussions on chat-rooms instead of this forum, there's no reason to have a forum. The purpose of this forum is to talk, which includes voting, etc. Chat-rooms are fine for non-business things, but making business decisions in a chat-room is never fair. Like all Moderators have known since they've joined and has always been the policy there, whatever decisions are made out of the forums are never official. Sure, you don't have to do it that way here if you don't want, but it's worked quite well for us.
