I actually do not like people but engaged in limitless and unfocused self-promotion for a number of years in the hopes of securing some sort of groundswell of rabid fandom for my work and making an exorbitant profit at it so that my parents would no longer have to live paycheck to paycheck.

I frankly do not enjoy social activity and I think it shows.
