In more Tales news, Namco Bandai announced last week that they would be bringing Tales of Hearts to the Vita as Tales of Hearts R. It is being remade for the Vita with the characters now 3D models and not sprites. The combat will also be fully 3D like traditional console based Tales games of recent years, Tales of Legendia did not have 3D combat. The original Tales of Hearts was released on the DS.
The remake and release on a new platform is likely part of the wish by the producer of the Tales series Hideo Baba to bring the Tales games to a new audience, as he stated in a previous interview. So this may be the first of many games to get re-releases or remakes along with potential releases in the NA and EU territories.
This week Namco showed off some screenshots from the upcoming game. They have said that the game is 50% completed with a Spring 2013 release window. Combat would have an additional feature allowing players to give chase to enemies into the air and juggle them.
