^ Sticks and stones may break my bones, but chains and whips excite me?
@Michael: Unfortunately, I would have to question the sincerity of their apology. It certainly makes me wonder if people didn't react the way they did, would they really feel a need to apologize? That's debatable. Regardless, it's nice that they did so even if it was half-assed, but she deserves sincerity in the least. As for the donations that's wonderful news, I have to admit a trip to Disney seems slightly over the top, but amazing nonetheless.
Really Hobaginator? It's her fault she became the victim? You do realize that if she did react in an "appropriate" manner there would have been a lawsuit. She behaved quite ethically. I think that might have been a point in the OP as well, do you think she should have had the right to discipline those students with pepper spray or other form of discipline of a physical nature?
Also, if you haven't noticed, human beings have done a fine job at separating ourselves from nature, so how do you apply that kind if logic to an altercation on a school bus, which is an unnatural thing in itself..
A majority of our laws have nothing to do with nature, I might add; if she used perpperspray or hit them she'd be in jail and those asses would then be the victims.
