I don't really have recipes of my own, I just improve on other, easier recipes. For instance, I'll make simple spaghetti, but I'll saute' onions and mushrooms and mix them in with the sauce, then maybe add a can of diced tomatoes. Or I'll make a burger, but I'll mix onions, peppers, mushrooms, bits of cheese, whatever into the meat before I grill it. Since I just (two days ago, I think) made Fruity Pebbles Treats and "Nutterscotch Treats", I'll just talk about them -- they're very easy and cheap, like me.

Prepare Rice Crispy Treats ingredients.

Before adding Rice Crispies to melted butter/marshmallows, add ... well, just add random crap.

One of my personal favorites is most of a bag of butterscotch chips and most of a jar of dry-roasted (with salt) peanuts.

Also, try chocolate chips and caramels. If you can find baking caramels, use those -- they're little caramel balls (about pea-size) that melt easier. Otherwise, get the individually wrapped caramels and cut those up into 1/4" cubes. This works especially well with chocolate rice crispies (Cocoa Crispies), too.

Or add dried fruit. Strawberries or apples work nicely -- banana chips are usually a little too hard and don't blend texture well with the rest of the treat. If you want to add dried apricots, cut them into smaller pieces first. Adding cinnamon to the melted marshmallow (make sure to blend it well so you don't get lumps of cinnamon), then adding raisins and dried apples to the rice crispies before mixing it all together makes a delicious morning treat.

Or, instead of rice crispies, try Fruity Pebbles. Or slightly crushed Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Or Trix. Or Reese's Peanut Butter Puffs. (I haven't tried making Rice Crispy Treats with Rice Krispies Treats cereal, but I'd imagine that it would be awesome.
