I would say that neutrinos are particularly wonky little particles. One never knows what they'll do or why. They can pass through a planet and not particularly slow down.

These findings are a little too fantastic, particularly seeing they seem to contradict the body of evidence. I suspect false readings, but then I can't claim to know. I don't foresee it proving false the theory of relativity, I assure you, even if it's true. It'll change it perhaps, drastically. I won't say much more, spoilers.
