Who said anything about being forced to? Yes there are some businesses where there are dress codes, appearance is important when you're dealing with large sums of money or valuable assets. To immediately assume suit = douche bag tells me you've had a bad experience with individuals more successful than yourself, or haven't been exposed people in the corporate world.
