I've been playing WoW off and on since it's release in November 2004. Originally for the Alliance on Laughing Skull, then I switched to Horde on Kul Tiras to play with real life friends late in the Burning Crusade expansion (Season 4 for PvP is all I really remember)
I still play on Kul Tiras until I get bored, quit for a few months and go back. Regil, Dirgon, Vandersplode, Gaias, Sothas, Mudkips, Tershok, Radix, Morley, and Dirok are my toon's names, 7 are 85, 1 is 81, 1 is 64, Dirok used to be 80 but I deleted him to reroll my warrior as an Orc, and he's mid 20s while I wait for a real life friend to play again.
$15 to play WoW is cheaper than $300+ to keep buying 360 games to keep me entertained for that long.
