My eldest bro introduced me to a lot of the bands I listen to today. Like, throughout my life. He has been the biggest influence on me. Not as much anymore, but I still hear stuff from him that I like lots of times. (Most recently the Avett Brothers.) I also have a subscription to emusic, and I check out the stuff that has come out that month or year, mostly in the punk section. Also, I have bands that I've followed for years, and I look around the internets to see if they got anything new coming out. Following them on facebook also helps.

(Actually, there've been a few bands I've discovered through fellow TFFers over the years: Say Anything, Nightwish, and Dream Theater come to mind.) Anyhoo...
