I've read both and they are facinating stories, but for me, To kill a Mockingbird was alittle hard to follow...

Needless to say I enjoyed both of them, especially the mystique surounding "Boo Radly" from To Kill a Mockingbird.

I've also recently read a book called "And Then There Were None" (Also sometimes called "Ten little indians") This one was a great story! It's a mystery/supence kind of book that has a story very similar to the movies series of "House on Haunted Hill" 'cept only this time, there are no ghosts involved in the killing of these people. Hahaha, still, an epic book, I've seen the movies that went with Lord of the Flies and And Then There Were None and I enjoyed both but keep in mind they are very old films. (Black and White, Terrible music, ect)
