I havnt seen an official Dissidia thread yet so heres one.I picked the game up today which is also the day it came out in my area.Anyway Ive only played 3 hours and im already addicted to it.Theres so much to do in the game and I also got the guide and saw what I could expect later on and im really psyched.Well discuss.

I went to Wal-Mart to pick up the game when it released at midnight. I arrived at the electronics department 2 minutes before the store was allowed to sell me the game. So I had to wait until exactly midnight before I could get my hands on it. Well, anyway, I bought it and brought it home. I haven't played my PSP in a while, so I also had to charge the battery before I could play it. Apparently, the battery needs to be fully charged in order for the PSP to install the necessary updates! Lame...

So when it finally charged, I installed the update, and played the game. I played Cecil's story first, and finished that part. Then, I unlocked Sephy as a playable character (haha, who did you think I was gonna unlock first? ) I played some arena matches against the computer. So far, that's all I've done.

I like the game so far. I think that the stories that the characters go through all intertwine, and I'm interested to see how that's all going to work out.

Dissidia is so good I almost drooled on my PSP a few times. Squall is awesome as he should be and Kefka is still a maniac. All is right in the world.

What's not to like about this game I got the guide and the soundtrack just cuz it's so cool! plus kuja is still destroy a world powerful zidane is still an awsome fighter thief and all around lovable bastard and Cecil is just brutal when mixed with kain how can you not love them(don't judge me)

I'm officially a Dissidia addict. been mastering all the characters I like using over the course of this week. Meaning getting all abilities, ultimate weapons, getting lv 100, etc. Gotaa say Sephiroth is my best though. I like watching people who don't know how to use him play online and try agressive rushing with him, meanwhile I just chill, and punish them for every little mistake they make lol. Adamant Chains ability is nice, 30% Brv boost on dodge and Aerial Dodge Boost for having 3 pieces of Adamant gear. I almost cant decide whether I like One Winged Angel better, or Ultima Weapon. I really don't notice much difference in damage unless I'm at full HP with Ultima. The Sneak attack on OWA is nice too though.

My fake reasons for getting Dissidia is because it's Final Fantasy, I could get at least a sense of what the main heroes and villains were like in the Final Fantasy games I've never played by playing it, and it was one of the very few PSP games I was interested in.

My real reason for getting Dissidia is simple.

You and I are going to get along quite well. He was the very first character I unlocked, and also the very first to get the alternate costume, all the voice works and the first that I want to get to level 100. Haven't done that yet, but I will.

I don't really like his alt though, oddly enough. EXPLOITATION.

You can get full adamant with little effort, which should make it a bit easier. Enter the code that unlcosk the Fusoya card, its ghost data is a lv 100 Golbez wearing full adamant armor and a gungnir.
I farmed 4 pieces of adamant from him in about an hour. With 101 LUK and a thief glove and hat.

To get the Orb you want, just boost the hell out of your LUK, and use any items that increase battlegen rates. Sunrise and Moonrise boost it by 1.2 and 1.5 respectively, and are icnreased further by booster accesories. I don't like fufilling ridiculous conditions to boost though, so i just use the ones that are constant, like the "Gap in Level" conditions, the "Level =" condiitions, and the "Level is a multiple of" conditions. Also, keep Chaos as high a level as you can handle, it boosts the chances.

And to fellow Sephiroth fans, you have good taste, best character in game. Period.

I made a terrible mistake in loaning Dissidia to a friend, I haven't seen it in month and I'm going into withdrawl. The last thing I remember doing was building Sephirtoth and Cloud's ultimate weapons. Does anyone else find making those things obnoxious and sorta not worth it?

Obnoxious definiately. Worth it, depends on the character. Some of them have such lame abilities that i'd rather just use Ultima. Others however, own. Like Sephs, Golbez's, Gabranth's, and Shantotto's are all pretty sick.

I was wondering about the secret weapons/items like Ultima Weapon and Piggy's Stick, do you need to get those to get the 100% Shop achievement? It'd suck for people with no interwebs if so

You can get those without wifi. Just enter codes to unlock friend cards carrying the components, and another code to get the recipes. You can find em all on Gamefaqs or any other cheat site. To use the codes, jsut set one as your friend card message. If you need I can go find the codes for you too.

No no no no I got those, what I meant was if the person couldn't get online to find the codes to start with, they'd always have that one dissidia achievement blank and eventually rage quit it, and we can't have that lol

Just got Dissadia after buying it on Amazon (who would sell this thing for 15 bucks?!)...........dear god. UN...FREAKIN...BELIVEABLE. Been playin for a week & already got every crystal & half done w/ shadow impulse. Got my lvl 48 Zidane & havent looked back.

One of the things that I am extreamly happy about is that it FINALLY put to rest all arguments about name pronaunceings and genders.

Zidane is a fun character for sure lol. My favorite thing to do to peoplewith him, Drop a Tidal flame, and charge with a BRV attack, about 90% of the time, a cpu will didge the brv move, and get nailed with the Tidal flame.

Am I the only one who is bothered by Shantotto? Everybody keeps complementing her like some kind of Mary Sue. I mean she plays fine but Garland, Mateus and Kefka talk about how great she is. That just feels out of character.

I've never heard Tidus as Tie-dus, though I used to pronounce Zidane as Zid-ain too.

I've not played Dissidia yet, I've only heard about it recently and want it so hopefully the comments on here are sound advice, coz even though I'm not into fighting games as a rule (Except old MK, Street fighter and all Smash Bros. games), this game looks to be fantastic. Me want!

does this game fall under the filler category? It came out in the pre-wake of FFXIII near a bunch of spin off FF's (Crystal Defenders, Crystal Bearers)

It's funny how Finnish (my mother tongue) and Japanese pronounce in a kinda similar way the names. I mean, I never even thought of Tidus as Tie-dus or whatever. Or Zidane as Zid-ain. I just pronounce them the way they are written (though that wouldn't probably make sense to English people as you write one way and pronounce another way).

Aaanyway, Dissidia. While it's a fun game and cool to have all your favourite heroes and villains fighting each other, I really think the characters were raped. The lines spoken are so odd and obsessive. Firion can't think anything but roses when in FFII he didn't give a damn about flowers, though I admit that he wanted peace after losing everything to the senseless war. Cecil is all brotherbrotherbrotherbrotherbrother, when in FFIV he has hard time even acknowledging Golbez as one of his own. Butz is Butz, can't really complain his character in the game. Terra acts too weak and vulnerable. She was one of the toughest characters in the game even when she had a fragile side to her, but she was no damsel who needs someone constantly looking after her. Cloud can't finish anything that starts with the word 'I'. Squall and Tidus are like they should be, I think.

But what REALLY annoyed me was when Cloud, Firion, Tidus and Cecil were talking and were like "Omg, les' go kick all badguys and nevah rest!!!1" and Cloud: "Ho noes! Yer only human and need beauty sleep!" and everyone else: "Hooo! Listen to Cloud, the mighty one! He has a brain, he knows these things! We'd be lost without him!!11"

Seriously, they were as dumb as a friggin' wall. They had completely lost their intelligence and that's very sad for me as Firion and Cecil are my favourite main characters.

And some of the weird lines was when Zidane and Firion talked and Firion babbles about his rose and Zidane says something like "That your princess?!+1+"
