Why is it wrong to make jokes about dead people? If anything, it is more respectful to make jokes about them when they are dead instead of making fun of the living. You hurt no feelings this way.
Yeah, but jokes about someones death can hurt. It might not hurt that person - boy, if it were me I'd be laughing my head off - but it might hurt the grieving family. Don't forget, this just happened today.
