I've loved this song since I first heard it on the radio. First it was the beat that I liked, then the lyrics struck me right away. It's so powerful. I'm strange so this is probably just me, but I picture a single man watching the TV in the morning and the news is reporting a huge meteor heading straight for Earth, then he looks out the window and everyone knows about this but they're all going about their business in denial, not wanting to admit that they are all going to vanish.
He goes through the streets and watches everyone lying to themselves, and we've really not done much with our lives our the world, we've actually gone back a step or two. Then at the very end when the music becomes louder and more quick, the sky lights ablaze with fire and huge balls of pure flame and magma just plummet to the ground and at the VERY end when the music stops, the biggest fireball strikes the guy on the street as he's running, he stop and looks up at it with a look og hopelessness.
That's just me though...
