    Ronin - I've seen rubber-band snapping too. That seems to be mainly the work of phychologists. They often recommend it as to reduce harm. Mine actually recommended it to me, lol. A kind of way to slowly get themselves off cutting by using an alternate method of less harmful self-harm.

    But as I said, I don't think methods of self harm that don't slice flesh should be trivialised at all.

    Wow, you have one crazy shrink o_O

    There really needs to be a better way than self-harm for emos to deal with issues. Of course they always say that the physical pain distracts them from the emotional, which I think is just as bad. I have heard that they get addicted to the rush cutting provides, and that the body can actually crave the sensation of being cut. If that's true, and the body can actually become addicted to it, that's pretty dangerous...
