And it was my Birthday this past week as well. Woo!

I actually forgot how old I was. Thats a very bad sign. Thank goodness for family that are more than willing to remind you just how young/old they think you are (depending on who's reminding you). Still, pretty good haul this year compared to last year, and a nice meal. I find more and more that I prefer a good meal to actual presents, and than a little time to rest and catch up on my gaming/reading.

Though a walks nice, I find I don't have any very interesting places to walk to anymore...eh well.

And hooray for finding a flat Prophet! Though I find renting anything to be highway robbery, and thus shitty compared to owning your own place.

    ...

Completely unrelated note, whats with all the christmas shit in the stores since the end of September?

    Happy B-day Behemoth!

To Anomaly: A good meal is nice but I'd prefer actual presents, better something useful too. Yet, I hate to think about my age, it depressing me. We are not turning younger with every year that passes by...

Anyway I'm kind of jealous of you guys, I have always liked Christmas but I'm not really able to celebrate it for years. When I lived in Russia we got a real tree every year and decorated it together(dad brought it personally) and it was really fun, we were a happy family, together. When we moved away the real tree was replaced by a plastic one for the few first years and then by nothing. I'm still hoping to be able to celebrate it properly one day. Perhaps its all about my childhood memories but still, I would love to celebrate Christmas once.

I guess it would be a little difficult to celebrate christmas in your situation. Hell, we get it shoved down our throats from fall through most of winter, but I sometimes forget there are places in the world where its considered bad form to even mention it, let alone try to have anything to do with it.

I hope that you'll be able to enjoy it again soon Neko, even if it's not as grand as your memories.

Hmm....I know I'm getting too old. No festivls really inspire me to much more than strong drink anymore. For all the pumpkin carving, tree decorating, fireworks, and feasting....at the end of the day every celebration seems to come back to some alchoholic beverage for me. (not that this is a bad thing, its just different) It's something that makes me want children though...so that I can see what was lost from the other side, see if I can find out whats missing. It's probably just the disillusionment of knowing that personal responsibility means one slip and you're likely going to be royally screwed by a world that cares for little aside from sex and money.

I'm bringing myself down so I'll stop here.

Not much time left, till a lot of things. But you don't give up...you never give up.

(Unrelated, does anyone else think that Frankenstein was a *****? Not the monster, but the scientist himself. I think its just the way Shelly writes him. I can see why she didn't go on to do that many other books.)

    Happy Belated Behemoth
