Or if that doesn't make any sense... never have a post that is "complete". If you leave your post at a hanging-point, it forces you to write more. Not only that, it makes the reader wonder what's going to happen next. Think of all the anime you watch... esp stuff like Bleach or Naruto. How often does an episode end with a storyline complete? It leaves you hanging every damn time, making you wait till next week to see what happens next. Then what? The same thing. You're left waiting for more. Its good for both sides. Well, its annoying for the readers who love to read huge chunks at one time and not wait around for the next part.. but uh.. whatev.

If you want something more challenging, tie the end of your post to the beginning, but still leave it hanging. I often do that to add a bit of symmetry to something, but still force ppl to 'stay tuned' for more. You'll see an example when I post up my stuff later today.

Anywho, if you want actual plot ideas or something, I can post some of those too. I might fart around posting, but I'm a knowledge-bank of ideas. O.o
