It sounds like you were playing Star Wars d20. I almost played it once. It was a campaign where Nightshade deftly organized about 8 people together (60% of which were probably Jedi) and dropped in a few weeks. I somehow became a mechanic of some sort after Nightshade's suggestion. It turns out he really, REALLY likes to have someone who exists solely to build things for the other players. The character was a Wookiee (Is that spelled right?) named Goomba with his S819 S Series Droid. And that's about as far as it got before the game imploded. We had so many people who wanted to play...Haha, and they were joining and dropping out every moment.

Despite liking tabletop games, I've never actually played a game on a table top or used pencil and paper. All of my campaigns have been online since...2001, and they've all gone dead. This isn't terribly bad since I like online games...It gives me more time to think and I don't have to say stupid things in front of a bunch of people. I'd probably start sweating bullets if someone told me to roleplay. And since DMs get a sadistic kick out of seeing the players trying to roleplay romance with an NPC (or worse, between characters...Half of which are females RPed by males), I'd probably have my character reach for his +1 Flaming Dagger and plunge it into his own throat.

The other thing I've learned from online tabletop games is that I hate the idea of overpowered games. Don't get me wrong, I like his campaigns and they're fun, but...I hate everyone being so overpowered. He knows this though, so I guess I'd just have to deal with it. =P Even when I was playing with this other, smaller group, they were using some alternative D20 system that screwed everything up so much...Completely metagamed. When I was in the creation stage I felt like I was piecing together a Frankenstein, rather than just making a character. But for some reason, character creation is probably my favorite part, so I was having a blast.

Ever since I made that Cleric with the bigass sword half a decade ago (I just wanted to be a Fighter I think...lmao), though, most of my characters have been miscellaneous fill-ins. I've really wanted to play recently, but no dice (HAR). Somebody save me. Korova? Spekkio? BALLZY?

    ...Anyone?
