It has been a while since I have talked with, well, mostly everyone who can see this forum. That brings me to this thread. I only keep in continual contact with two people I met here, and a few others on occasion, so I only know where two people are in their respective lives.
Where are you?
I graduated from college with an English degree and an emphasis on British Literature---I jokingly tell people that I majored in England during college. But while I have that fancy degree, it means nothing to me. I've been trying to get an entry level job in graphics design with a local company. I didn't have much luck with the job market when I graduated, so I ended up taking a job as an call center peon. Second biggest mistake of my life. I have now taken a menial and decently-paying job elsewhere to cover costs of living, provide health benefits, etc. I also save loads on gas money since it is right up the street. But this is only a stopgap job until I find something in a more applicable field. I didn't spend 4 years in college to do what I am doing now. My project right now is a manageable website design so that I can host my portfolio online.
My plans are to pay off debts then invest in a Nintendo Wii (and an Xbox 360 way down the road). I've pretty much given up on the foreseeable future of the Final Fantasy franchise (say that ten times fast). I still play the games that I own, and fancy enhancy ports of those games if they ever come out, but I feel I'm coming to a close with the RPG genre in terms of future games. I'm just tired of it.
Games I have been playing recently: Final Fantasy VI Advance (Gilgamesh!), Disgaea: Hour of Darkness (Thanks to S), Zelda: Twilight Princess (GameCube version), Tales of Symphonia (second playthrough), Animal Crossing DS (SO MANY WEEDS!), and I am toying with replaying another game from my library.
