I keep a low number of shows that I watch and I rarely get in on the ground floor, because I wait for the show to develop, and more importantly, to know that's it's going to be finished. I had a bad experience with the Carnivale cancellation.

But Carnivale, although cancelled, was a well written show. The dialouge was good, the acting was great, the plot was very compelling, and you really just got drug into the whole thing.

Lost is very much like that. There aren't really any flaws, and most of the complaints come from people who sit up at night pretending they are the writers of the shows and are dissapointed when their own "great" ideas are utilized by the actual writers of the show. Other than that, the show is arguably one of the best in television history.

But Heroes, dispite a loud fanbase, just doesn't have any substance, and I think it's more than 50% drop in rating is starting to prove that. Like I said I haven't watched a signficant portion of the show, but I hadn't watched Lost or Carnivale at one point in time either, and from nearly the first moments I started, I was sucked into both of those.

I've given heroes a few hours now, and I have to be honest, I just don't get it. There's nothing in any of the episodes that I care about. I don't buy into any of the acting. The plot is barely aparent and feels as though they take the smallest idea they can come up with and stretch it out as long as they can. I simply feel there is just not a lot going on in this show, and in general I think a show would feel better if it were critisized for trying to do too much than it would be to have nothing going on at all.

Heroes just plain feels flat. It has a highly production quality than Smallville does, but neither show has anything important going on. It's the kind of show that makes you feel like a loser for sitting on your butt watching TV.

And I don't know how they correct something like that, but TV shows only last if you feel as though you accomplished something by watching it. Or when spend all day looking forward to the next episode.

Again I don't watch it Heroes on a regular basis. But I'd also dread watching it, and that can't be a good thing.
