My original post ****ed up before I got around to posting it.
In short, I was going to say that the only reason that there are so many individual forums is because back in the day everyone stuck to the mantra of 'a place for everything, and everything in it's place.' I know it's cheezy, but that's what the deal was.
Unfortunately, there never were any set definitions of what was considered what, and so now you wind up having people like Toph consider Wall-E animation and not a movie. The simplest way in all matters should suffice. If it's shown on the big screen, it's a movie. If it's broadcast on TV, then it's a tv show. Lastly, if it's Japanese or "oriental" cartoons, then it's anime. Simple as that. No need to make anything more complicated than it is.
Oh wait, it's the internet, of course there is.
At the same time, this place should be downsizing the number of individual boards. I can understand for a newbie that this place can be a little overwhelming, kind of like going to walmart for the first time, minus that grimey guilty feeling you get for going there. And for ****'s sake, why are there still threads deemed important when they haven't been relevant in years?
