Did anyone else get inboxed about this EnixOrigins forum?

D12 is the user name. I went and opened an account and whatever, and everything was hunky dory for the first little while...

... Until a moderator sent me a message saying that my "racial slurs" (calling my daughter a Messcan and mentioning that her dad's Jesus. Which really -is- his name and he's from "Messco Shitty".) were "alarming and worrying" and that I was being warned and should fix my message. Oh, and I called Jay a Flip. 'Cuz he is. He's a Flip. Oh wow.

Now here's the issue.. Not only was -I- called out on something like that -via PM of course, but still. It's my family and my child and they all know they're Flips and Messcans. But, if you're going to take issue over -that-, then should you not give warning to those who used the term "Phaggot" (regardless of spelling. And honestly, I could care less if you use the terms "gay" or "f*ggot") and send a message to whoever started a thread titled "Insult the person above you"?

The reason I bring this up here, is because I know you guys have a bit more common sense and thicker spines than that and pretty much would know better that I'm more or less harmless.

I told this person to just delete my account because I refuse to retract anything I've posted and I'm not going to be singled out over something stupid when there's already other insulting things going on.

She did go on to mention that "While you do have a bubbly personality and have already become an asset to the forum, posts like this will no longer be tolerated and I leave it up to you to fix it".

I mean, yes, there will be arguments and warnings and Ms. Freya warned me maybe once about staying on topic, but it was nothing compared to the contents of the message this mod sent me. And Freya was actually very friendly about the one (or 2 warnings) she's given me. Never has what I've said been taken so far out of context that it's actually -made- me want to leave a forum that quickly.

Had half a mind to create an account there just to say "Hey guys, I'm gonna create an account just so I can spam my forum to people via PM and never post, is that cool?" But then that would mean that I posted at least once, so technically my post would be false. Maybe if I made the stipulation that I'd never post AGAIN... But mostly I don't like joining other forums anymore, because then people treat me like a newbie and I don't get away with things like I do here

So today I opened up TFF like I normally do after work and was greeted by the pop-up PM warning. "Woah! That's not normal!" That got me thinking, "Oh, hey! A private message! No. I am disappoint.

When I started formulating an angry reply ranting about unicorns, The Spanish Inquisition and other unrelated nonsense I saw that he or she was already introduced to the ban-hammer. Who gave that crazy moderator the power---the right---to squelch this innocent, spammy person before I could properly shake my fist at him or her? Who cares!

It's a brand new forum.. Apparently it used to be a KH3 forum, but whoever started a new one I guess?

I mean, like I said, everything started out pretty cool. I was just curious (I feel like I cheated on y'all now. I am shamed. -_- Everyone was really nice and then BAM! I get hit with a warning about being racially insensitive? IF you gon' put the hammer down on being so-called "racially insensitive" (and for the record, I was just clarifying that Jay is -not- Parker's dad and that Parker's dad is Jesus and they're both "Messcan" - c'mon. You know they say it that way too if their English ain't that great.)...

Either way.. What really got me innerested is the fact that it was -new-, even though most people already know each other, so there's a lot of activitiy going on.

And of course, I went on to be an immature brat and announce my exit from the forums and mentioned that the Mod who slapped me with a giant ruler would probably address & delete my post promptly because I refuse to retract anything I say. I also told her that people should grow a backbone. I mean effing A. Getting mad 'cuz I used the word "Flip" is like -me- getting offended that someone calls me a Midget. (For the record, we now use the M-Word, A-holes.).

I thought about this. I was so angry at being deceived via a spam PM that I almost took my challenge RIGHT TO HIS DOORSTEP! By registering at his forum, I could easily spout my anti-unicorn nonsense at him! However, three thoughts occurred to me (in this order):

1. "Wait! Momma's last words before she was viciously impaled through the chest by a unicorn were to never talk to a stranger's URLs!"
2. ...oh yeah, I'm too lazy for that.
3. I have a plate but no sandwich, which is a problem I can objectively solve.

He was likely counting on me to register at his forum to do just that. But my laziness knows no limits. It cannot be predicted.

I received the invite as well, and didn't check it out until I saw this thread. Honestly, I understand their decision. Despite you saying those things about those who are close to you and can understand you are saying it in a joking manner, it isn't accepted speech (or writing, in this case) across the entire spectrum.

Not only that, you did break that forum's rules. The mod was just doing what he/she was obligated to do. Yes, maybe their delivery was not the best at breaking the news to you. I can't be sure unless I read the entire exchange, so I assume that it's just a case of bad bedside manner. Regardless, you agreed to the rules when you joined. You shouldn't be upset when they ask you to change it. After all, "We reserve the rights to remove or modify any Content posted for any reason without explanation."

I think just having opened the PM itself could have infected my computer, so I would advise to either delete it or not to open it at all. I think my malware protection spotted a cookie that could harm my computer and deleted it on the spot, so yeah.

"Amongst" is a word but it is redundant because it can always be replaced by "among". I think among is one of those Americanisms, like "thru" and the suffix "-ize" that are quite logical but still seem funny to my British-inspired-New-Zealand-English. I'd tend toward amongst, but when I think about it I'd probably say "amongst" sounds like a physical presence ("amongst the group of men") and "among" refers to concepts ("among these, ..."). Though I'm pretty sure that distinction is just in my head.
