Nelson Mandela's 94th Birthday

Wow, and back in the 1920s the average life expectancy was only around 54 years old.. As he turns 94 today everyone is asked that they spend 67 minutes donating their time. One for each yeah he gave to public service. I can't think of many role models like him. Hope you all make life enjoyable for others; any thoughts how to donate your time?

That's ****ing baller and shit, but if I was anyone ****ing important like this, I'd wish people would just include thinking about other people as a person in their life. I wouldn't want them to "donate 67 minutes" to me or anything like that. That's a little crazy to ask. People are busy, but thinking of everyone from their point of view doesn't require anything at all once you grasp the concept. And I think that's what he was going for.

I'm not saying it'd be a waste of sixty-seven minutes, because helping is good, but I won't do it just because Nelson Mandela turned ninety-four. Also, if we did this every time someone of note aged a year, depending on the person and who they define as such, we'd either be exhausted or lounging around.

Plus... I do more than sixty-seven minutes caring for my grandmother and working part-time. I'm not taking that precious sixty-seven minutes out of sleep, eating or gaming time.

For me I am going to: drink a beer, then go experiment with some cooking to feed some people tonight, then work-out and go read a book.
I was trying to create a thread where we could put alil energy towards caring for others and get some ideas to do so..
