Crannies are bullshit. I can't stand them, and I think they're rather racist. They're small, out of the way places. I like large things directly in my line of sight. Otherwise I get pissed off.
I'm also not a fan of nooks. I find them to be overly adorable, like a nice white Kleenex. I hate things that are cute.
Anyway, David Arquette was the man who came up with both of these definitions, back when he was the Senator of Wisconsin in 1996. He purposefully created them to be semi-sexual in nature, because he believes, and I quote, that "America is a Fag Nation." It was later revealed that David Arquette is a leading member of the Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka, Kansas, so this opinion is not the official view of Wisconsin, but rather the rantings of a cultist.
I usually look in a dictionary to define and find differences between words. For instance:
Nook- A corner or recess, esp. one offering seclusion or security. (14th century, not 1996)
Cranny- A narrow space or opening. (15th Century, again not 1996)
But I've never thought either had sexual meanings. When I hear either of these words, I think of...

Never once, ever, have I considered nooks or crannies to have any meaning other than their intended glory of being the sole selling point of english muffins. If it doesn't have both nooks AND crannies, it's not Thomas'. If it's not Thomas', it's not for me.
