A new game idea

ok I'm thinking about a new ideafor final fantisy ok here we go, it will have 15+ classes (this is the begining of the game) you pick your mothers class and your fathers class will be chosen by random. (For example you pick ur mom to be a white Mage and then your dad's class is monk and then you are a cross bread of a white Mage and a monk). Your HP, attack power, your MP, ex. Will be chosen by your mom and dad's. I'm not sure about the story that's why I'm asking u guys.

Question 1. Do u guys think this is a good idea?
Question 2. What should the story be like?

1. No. It doesn't work that way. I understand maybe you want it to work that way, but... No. It's just like real life when you think about it. I mean, the "stats" being inherited/boosted/weakened from the parents is fine.. just like Pokemon or what have you, that's cool. But having spells/skills from both? No, it doesn't work that way. The child will still have to grow and later on pick what class they desire to be.

Whether the father wants him to inherit the Dojo is besides the point, or the mom wants him to continue her awesome healing legacy... that's part of life.

But yes, the stats idea is good, but the class merging is... not.

2. I'm not answering this. We can't do -everything- for you.

The idea is there has it's plus's and minus's, but I don't really understand why? It's just making things very complicated, when you could just pick the class to begin with. For a long winded RPG where characters died and were replaced by their siblings it would make sense but in a Final Fantasy setting...

No I wouldn't say it's a good idea personally, but kudos on the idea.
