I had to adjust the cookie settings, so please go into your browser and reset your cookies for TFF, otherwise you may run into issues. Thanks.

LOL that patch was awesome. It managed to single-handedly blow up the forums so bad I couldn't even access the admin panel to fix it. I wish we had a test server... but that's a violation of vB's terms. Stupid, huh? Anywho, it should be mostly working now... I'm still beating it with a hammer to fix any anomalies that pop up.

Oh, and make sure you clear out your cookies because I had to clean that up some more. ^^

I was wondering why, immediately after clearing my cookies, the forum exploded.

Of course, I'm sure you were among the three living souls who saw my thread in the phantom forums yelling at you about it.

Any idea what went wrong?

The caching stuff it uses got seriously corrupted. There was nothing wrong with the database itself, just the caches it uses for everything. Caching hell is a pain in the ass to fix, since that in turn blew up the SEO stuff which I had to disable temporarily.

It looks like some emoticons aren't showing up in posts still, like this:

Also, there seems to be broken images on the main forums page in IE. Not sure what is up with that.

edit: Emoticons before the change show, but new ones don't. hmm.

Smiley errors aside, I don't seem to have any issues here in Chrome or Firefox. If only we didn't have to continue to cater to IE...

Yeah, my main concern is why smilies don't work. I can't figure it out.

All I can gather is that the smilies no longer direct to the proper database. I'm looking into it now, but it seems they're all in the right place...

edit: Or that could be because you fixed it WHILE I was looking.

Ok, I'm opening the forums back up. ^^

edit: Well the images still don't show in IE on the main page. They look to be the icon you can put on a post. They are pointing to PNG files and the actual files are GIF. I didn't change the templates so I'm not sure what is going on there.

I'll close this and we can write a NEW announcement regarding cookies and explaining the explosion. We can keep this around if anyone wants to have a glance at us wandering aimlessly.
