I have watched some videos about this game on YouTube and readed at FFWiki. Looks interesting, but is it good or bad?![]()

When it comes to FFIII I prefer the NES version. I tried the DS version and I just was not feeling it. I couldn't take it seriously so I immediately switched back.
That's just me though.
I download it so if you do just make sure you don't get VI by mistake.
My opinion on the actual game doesn't mean much though since I didn't really play it on DS so don't mind me ^^;;

I only played the DS version, so I can't compare it to the NES version. (I don't even own a NES! ^^")
The game was okay. It wasn't that great, but it was okay. I'm pretty sure the FF feeling lacks just because they worked on the character design. If you've played I and II you'll know how the characters looked like in the NES version - if you don't have a problem with "chibi, cuuuute looking" characters, then you will definitely enjoy the DS version.
Plus, the monsters look way better, there is more animation and it has some little cutscenes, if I remember correctly.
It isn't that bad - and it's the only way to play FFIII if you don't own a NES.... or don't like playing on the computer.![]()

I found it to be good. It had a pure fantasy feel that only a few games have in the Final Fantasy series. The job system is the precursor to Final Fantasy V's so it is not as advanced with the choice to mix-n-match different abilities. Definitely one of the harder FFs. Music is nice too. One thing you got to remember is that this game was originally released for the NES even with the characters having a name, a little personality, & story so don't expect a story/characters like your favorite entry in the Final Fantasy series.
Main series FFs Beaten - FF: 4x, FFII: 3x, FFIII: 3x, FFIV: 3x, FFV: 3x, FFVI: 4x, FFVII: 5x, FFVIII: 5x, FFIX: 3x, FFX: 4x, FFXII: 3x, FFXIII: 2x, FFXV: 2x
I love the game to be honest. I have played a bit of the NES version, but completed the DS version, and both are good. DS is the easiest way to get a hold of the game.
The best thing about the game is the graphics. While, obviously, they are not going to be the greatest, the character sprites are, well, kind cute. It makes the game more fun I think. Overall, I say get it, and quickly!
The game is pretty good, but it is damn hard. You better get prepared for some grinding and download a walkthrough.
I would say it is only worth it if you have not got access to, or haven't played Final Fantasy III. Everyone who has played both versions seems to be disappointed with the port/remake on DS.
I have only played it on the DS, however. I find it quite good. Hard as hell, though.![]()
