I'm seeing it quite often down here in Altus, Oklahoma, it's spreading quite fast.

Well good for you for being able to express that, but I don't think you should worry about it (I know how you freak out sometimes ) You shouldn't feel obligated to tell your parents right now either. You're young and things change as you get older.

Secondly, isn't 'queerosexual' a bit homophobic? I mean, I'm pretty sure it isn't politically correct to go around calling gay people, or in this case, half gay people queer. Though the term homo isn't necessarily politically correct, either, which would make both 'homosexual' and 'homophobic' homophobic terms.

It's a f*cking madhouse down here. Small towns take a lot of bravery to be openly anything but straight white male. One of my girl's friends is raging gay. Like it's so blatantly obvious that only a total derp herp could miss it... he won't admit it to anyone though, even his closest friends, on the off chance it should slip to his father... who is in the NR effing A. This guy is the biggest f*cking redneck ever. For people who are so against intolerance, you sure are showing a lot of intolerance towards the supposed intolerant. A year ago, it got out around school that one of my friends were bisexual. And he is, but he didnt want people to know and i couldnt take them saying stuff about him and talking about him behind his back, so when some of the kids in my class started started saying they hated him, i stood up in class and said "so what im bisexual too !!" everyone stopped saying stuff about him then. they never expected me to say something. Im happy they know. They stay away from me now.

But yay! First thing you should know is that you shouldn't feel obliged to tell your parents just yet. You're still quite young, and they might not even take you seriously for it because there are so many kids running around these days, saying that they're bisexual or gay for attention. Wait it out for a little bit, maybe a year or two and see how you feel then. You never know, it could just be the hormones.

As for your parents, you should think it through, about wether or not you want them know, they could turn out be supportive and even if they wernt, at the end of the day as long as your happy thats all that should matter.

Everyone's an individual, and there WILL be people who disapprove. But it's none of their business, and they don't even know the circumstances that allowed you to make your decision (though it could just be the hormones or whatever).

So yes, it took a lot of guts to be open with this. As long as you're just being yourself, I don't have a problem with it. And neither should anyone.
