Favorite Final Fantasy Music

What is your guys' favorite Final Fantasy music? I think mine is the Prelude of FF VII and To Zanarkand of FF X.

Best music a FF gamer will ever hear is the victory theme. Which game? It doesn't really matter. They're all great to listen to, especially if you went up a against a really difficult enemy and won.

Besides that, I really like the ShinRa Inc. theme from FF VII. It's so menacing and powerful sounding. I have a lot more that I like, but I think that's my top favorite.

Ah, I think FF X has some really kick a** music, I mean, who didn't like Other World at the beginning and when your facing Jecht? Its like, WOAH!!! THIS IS GONNA BE EPIC!!! When I first heard that song at the beginning, I thought that FF X was the best FF game ever, lol, but then I went back to the older games like IV V VI and VII. But I still think FF X has the most kick a** music because of all its emotion the movie or battle is about.

The soundtrack to FF IX is just stunning. I believe Uematsu even claimed it to be one of his favourites, if I recall correctly.

The atmosphere the music creates suits the game perfectly in general, and the individual songs match the places they're a soundtrack to really well.

You can't go wrong with any of it. I have a hard time picking. If I had to, I'd choose the prolouge to FF IV with the magitek factory from FF VI being a close 2nd.

I'm a big fan of the song Ahead On Your Way from FFV, I also like many of the songs in FFIV and FFVI. Labeling them all would take forever. My favorite battle theme is FFVIII's Don't Be Afraid, and last but not least I enjoyed plenty of the songs from FFX.

"To Zanarkand", "Wandering Flame", "Yuna's theme", "People of the North Pole" of X (I like also "Besaid Island" but the piano version...is really particular)

"Blue Fields", "The Oath" of FF VIII

Tifa and Aerith's themes, "One Winged Angel" of FF VII (obviously, I can't forget about Advent Children ost and piano versions...amazing !)

about FF XII...they are not so much, but I appreciated "Sorrow" and "The dream to be a sky pirate" !

You know what guys, I have a playlist on my Ipod touch, called Zanarkand, with all those songs I wrote here ! I use this one for sleeping at night !

I have quite a lot of fav's so i'll only mention a few of them. . .

- Battle theme (FFI): I like both the NES version of this and the SoR version, i think it's really great and that it was really awesome in chocobo tales, it really sets the theme

- One winged Angel (FFVII): I have'nt played FFVII, but i know the song off Disidia, i like it because it makes battles seem a lot more intense when i'm listening to it as my BGM, also it's good to verse Sephiroth (Whilst acting Cloud) using this BGM, it's cool

- World map theme (FFVI): I usually just stand there listening to the flute playing in the background, it sounds a bit eerie, but i like it; Most of my in game time is made up of listening to this song and then accidently saving :/

- Boss battle theme (FFVI): I just like this song cause i think it's good/catchy

FFX is the only game that i can remember music enough to talk about here.
(sorry about the names i can't remember them all)

1. the music that plays as you walk through the Zanarkand Ruins. I cant decide if its meant to be happy or sad as it seems like a mix of both. It sounds like a sad homecoming because, well it is. I know there are many variations of this theme but this is the one that stands out the most to me.

2."Otherworld" i've said it many times, its the perfect accomanyment to Braska's Final Aeon and is one of my favourite songs of all time.

3."Hyme of the Faith". When i first got the game i was actualluy embarresed to play this music while in a temple and even now i wont admit it to people but i think its one of the best peices of music in the game. Call me crazy but i think its actually calming to listen to. It even sounds kinda creepy when it gets distorted in the ruined Zanarkand Chamber of the Faith.

Also on my list is the feild music that are played on the Mi'hen and Djose highroad. (gramma error but i dont know how to fix it)

Whatever you do, do not listen to The Black Mages version. It's horrible.

I just thought i'd add the music that plays during that intro where they're all sitting around at that camp in Zanarkand (im terrible with names). I've been wanting to learn how to play that song since i first heard it.

One of my favorites would be Phantoms in Final Fantasy X. It brings back memories when It was a winter day in December, And I was still on my first run in the game. I was at the part where that music was played, in Macalania right before that boss battle with Brother.
